Merry Christmas after a year like no other IT has been a year sent to test us, and test us it has. The year was only just getting started when we plunged into the abyss of coronavirus with all its challenges. At Mornington Peninsula News Group, we faced an unprecedented challenge. But while hundreds of community newspapers around the country ceased printing, some for good, we never missed a single edition. Not one. I am immensely proud of our staff. Their tenacity and sense of purpose was testament to their commitment. But more so, I am deeply grateful to our advertisers. They are the backbone of our news-gathering endeavours and without them

we could not provide weekly community newspapers to you, the reader. They support local news in your community. We thank each and every one of them for their support and ask readers to reward them with their custom. Finally, I would like to thank our readers and assure you we are dedicated to making our papers bigger and better in 2021. After darkness always comes a dawn. 2021 offers great hope and we are excited for the love, laughter, family and friends that are flooding back into our lives after such a testing time.
