Jessica Jess fell in love with the mountains at a very young age; she started skiing with her family aged two and it’s led her to start a life, and a business, in the French Alps.
Jess's family have been widely involved in the hospitality industry for over fifty years with popular restaurants, cafĂŠs and casinos in London. She learnt the values of her grandfather who knew how to make each
one of his guests feel special. Jess strives to go above and beyond her guests' expectations and takes pride in knowing that everyone has been extremely well looked after.
Joshua Joshua’s history in France stretches back over twenty years to 1991 when his family bought a holiday home in Northern Brittany. Since then his interest in French food and wines has developed, along with an understanding of the varying local regions and people. Joshua passionately creates balanced and interesting chalet menus each season from his varied experience cooking in restaurants, his own private catering company and his lifelong interest in French food and wine.
His food has been described as “The best in the Alps and he works hard to ensure that all of his guests have a memorable dining experience.
Portes du Soleil Morzine is central to the Portes du Soleil ski area. With 650km of connected pistes it is one of the largest ski areas in the world. The region receives an average of 8 metres snowfall every winter season and has plenty to offer to all levels of skier. We think of the area in two parts: the Morzine - Les Gets sector and the rest of the Portes du Soleil and Avoriaz. Morzine-Les Gets is an intermediate skier’s paradise with endless forests and cruising blue runs.
The rest of the Portes du Soleil offers more varied skiing, with steeper runs and access to Switzerland and the infamous “Swiss Wall piste.
Location Chalet de mes RĂŞves and Chalet Gentiane are set in a hamlet of six chalets, a 15 minute walk from the centre of Morzine, with ski-in-out access to the Retour des Nants piste. From this elevated position the chalets offer stunning views of the valley, which can be enjoyed from the balconies and hot-tubs. Morzine is just over an hour away from Geneva airport, making it one of the most accessible resorts in the French Alps. Morzine centre is a charming place with a great, authentic atmosphere and lots to do. Unlike some of
the resorts in the Southern Alps, Morzine has retained its traditional, Savoyarde character. The architecture is consistent; fields of wooden chalets stretch along both sides of the valley creating a picturesque landscape, which our chalets overlook. To this day most of the bar and restaurant owners are French, which gives Morzine an honest feel and means prices remain affordable.

Head Chef Originally from Cardiff, Josh worked alongside his brother in Bully’s Restaurant where he originally learned the ropes. From there he pursued a freelance chef career with an established private caterer and worked in a number of British restaurants alongside chefs such as Michael Caines and Martin Blunos. In April 2012 Josh and Jess established a private catering firm in South West London, which was the pre-cursor to Morgan Jupe Catered Ski Chalets.
For the chalet menus Josh sticks to dishes that he would like to eat on a winter holiday - wholesome, non-pretentious combinations, presented elegantly and served with delicious, matching wines.
Sparkling Crémant de Limoux AOC, Cuvée Emotion Rosé (Georges & Roger Antech)
White Wines Pinot Gris (Domaine Bott-Geyl) Petit Chablis (Christophe Camu) Chateau Pesquié, Ventoux (Famille Chaudière Picpoul de Pinet AOC (Domaine des Lauriers)
Red Wines We source each wine directly from the producer; using contacts from the UK and recommendations from French restaurateurs we have sought out the best wines from Burgundy, the Rhône valley and Languedoc. After (extensive) tasting we have decided on a list that aims to please all palates and complement our menus perfectly. We don’t stick to any prescribed formula, instead we plan our menus in advance, adjust them weekly and daily for any change in produce or any guest’s requirement and then decide on the day which of our wines is the most suitable for
that evening’s meal. This allows us to listen to the preferences of our guests and also take you on a journey of discovery! So please allow us to spoil you with our spectacular wines, regional aperitifs and digestifs!
