Instructions for use of Inflatable or Semi Permanent Wash Pads Before Set Up Ensure the location for the wash pad is a flat level surface, concrete/tarmac/ or similar. Wash pad is not suitable for unmade ground, gravel, stone etc. Sweep area free of debris, stones, pebbles, metal wood or any objects. Mark out area (LxW) of wash pad and on surface.
Set Up Place mat centre of marked out area. Do not drag - always unfold to desired position. Check your manual handling as wash pads can be in excess of 1Kg per M2. If wrongly placed refold and start again, do not drag or pull into position . Use the anchor eyes (4x) to fix to the floor. The anchors can be fixed into floor with suitable fixings or eyelets can be securely tied to weights. Ensure firmly placed and cannot move due to windy conditions. It is Customers responsibility to ensure it is fixed securely. When using the Inflatable wash pad connect the blower. Ensure any power supply is safe and dry, always use a protection device such as an ELCB or similar. Before You Start Ensure kerbs are unfolded or inflated correctly. Check visual sign, wear and tear, ensure kerbs form impermeable surface so water is contained. It is Customers responsibility to legally dispose the outflow as per PPG 13 guidelines. Wash pads provide isolated kerbed as per PPG13. Connect a suitable pump or vacuum to ensure water can be contained . If there are any leaks or perforations stop and contact your dealer.
Operation Ensure weight and types of vehicles are suitable for the wash pad. Drive vehicle slowly on to centre of pad. Position the vehicle centrally so water is collected from all sides . Do not use if vehicle is too long/wide or overhangs. Wash in normal way but restrict you use of water where possible. Use pump or vacuum to dispose of all water, contain the outflow legally or dispose of via suitable treatment as per PPG13 Guidelines. After Use Ensure the wash pad is dry and all water removed. Keep clean and rinse off all detergents after use. Unhitch ties if removing wash pad from site (not advised in windy conditions). Fold inwards from edge to middle. If the wash pad is in the wrong position unfold and start again, do not drag. Always lift the pad onto pallet/into vehicle, do not drag. Store in a clean dry area.
