documentary style wedding photography for modern lovers

Hi. I'm Morag and I am the principal photographer in brown's photography. Actually I am brown's photography as it's just me and a camera or two.

My shooting style is on the quiet side. I won't interrupt the flow of your wedding day or pop my flashguns during your vows. I will observe and document the coming together of your two lives and slot right into your plans while putting together your own photostory.

You will invite your friends and family to celebrate with you and I know you'd rather spend your time with them than with your photographer, so I'll focus on photographing the love, fun, emotions, friendships, details and expressions while you share your day with your nearest and dearest.

the real value of your photographer how do you choose the best wedding photographer for you?

choose a photographer who listens to you I've been to over l O years of weddings and I could give you advice from now till the end of time about how to organise your day but I'd rather listen. I want to know what you want and I'll work with you as best as time allows. I am looking to grow and develop all the time with my photography and welcome the opportunity to do so. We'll chat about your ideas and you have the option to have me photograph you as a couple before your wedding day in an informal pre-wedding photo session, so we can spend a bit of time together.

your photographer is a person - choose one you like Out of all your wedding suppliers, it's important to feel really comfortable with your photographer, not just because you want to feel relaxed in front of my camera but because I'll actually be at your wedding with your guests and families. value my experience Being a Scotland based photograher, I'm experienced at dealing with the many different seasons we can experience in the one day and the constantly changing light. My years of photographing weddings have given me a calm, relaxed approach from dealing with large groups of people, small intimate affairs, late guests, wobbly wedding cakes - I can handle it.

you as a couple right now Your pre wedding photo session is the perfect way to become more comfortable in front of my lens before your wedding day and for us to spend some time together. Your session can be as simple as a stroll through a favourite park, coffee and cake at a great cafe, a walk through the city streets or even a romantic return to where your proposal took place. Images from your pre-wedding session are beautiful additions to your wedding album, and also make a wonderful guest book. They help to add to your story, and can even be purchased for save-the-date cards, invitations or thank you cards.

something old something new Ahat on an old table. a hat that's been in the family for a generation or two. A hat that you used to mess around with when playing dress-up. A hat that was worn by your dad on his wedding day and is now worn again when he walks you down the aisle. I see these things and photograph them for you. I appreciate the details.
