PRESIDENT’S NOTE Welcome back! Thanks to our returning members and welcome to our new. I'm excited to be leading such a dynamic group of talented women and amazing mothers. For me, Montgomery Moms has been a wonderful way to feel like part of a community where everyone can relate to my adventures in mommyhood. From late nights to early mornings, kissing scraped knees, trying desperately to sneak in more veggies at mealtime, reading just one more story before bed,

2013-2014 Board

Moms Night Out The First Mom’s Night Out for this school year is Thursday, September 19, and we are heading to the Horseshoe Casino! We'll meet at the Montgomery Kroger parking lot at 7:00 and carpool down.  We will start with dinner at The Spread Buffet (We’ve heard it is amazing!) at about 7:30 (Feel free to meet us there if you do not want to carpool.) We are going try to cover about half the cost of the buffet, depending on our numbers.  After dinner, we'll roam around, gamble, and see what other trouble we can get into. Monday, November 11th, Sharon Woods indoor playground, 10 am

Charge $2.50 per child and you would need a parking permit. The Adventure Station is a wonderful way to spend the day. It is completely designed like a treehouse. There are stairs inside a tree trunk to go to the second level.

There are tunnels, monkey bars, horse saddles, a covered wagon, and slides hidden inside decorations like a giant bird nest. There is also a small ball-pit for the little ones and an extra small slide for the not-so-brave-at-heart under 24-month olds. We also spend time in the Free nature room across the hall where there are tons of interactive flip-flaps, fish tank, a tunnel, computer quizes, and buttons with bird calls. - copied from Cindy kids

OUTREACH NEWS!!! Changes to Outreach: This year each member will be expected to provide a meal for a mom in need in order to efficiently reach out to moms with new babies or dealing with death or major illness in the immediate family.  Providing meals is a requirement of membership listed in the “Membership Responsibilities,” and this is a great opportunity to serve a fellow MMOMS member. Meals will be assigned alphabetically and members will be notified a month ahead of time of the details of the meal assignment. If preparing a homemade meal is not an option, please consider providing a gift card or take-out instead! Thanks for understanding the change and for your help with providing these much appreciated meals.  If you have any questions about the new policy or you are expecting a new baby, please contact Katherine Rapp so she can begin planning your meals as soon as possible.
