Celebration of Worship Sunday, August 26, 2012 Check out these challenging and comforting words from God’s word as you prepare for worship, “For I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” Today, we’ll explore how to live with contentment in a world of stress, anxiety and pressure. Get ready. It is going to be a blast.

10:00 Service

Next Week Are you ready for the Fall? School, sports, bible studies, work…We are moving from the more relaxed days of summer to the sometimes chaotic schedules of September. In order to prepare you and your family, join us next week for a very special experience. We are going to explore Psalm 23 and “Find Hope, Comfort and Strength in the wisdom of old.” From the shepherd’s staff to the King’s anointing from green pastures to dark valleys, we’ll explore together how the presence of God is always with us. Our guest preacher, Dan Stevens, shepherded a church in Ventura for close to 30 years and then spent years caring for other’s as CEO of LifeWater International. This is a great day to invite your family and friends to join you in worship at one of our two worship services.

BBQ DINNER & CHILI COOK-OFF Sunday, September 9th Time: 3pm for chili tasting, live music & games 4pm for Elks Lodge BBQ Dinner Tri-tip, Ribs, & Chicken, salad, garlic bread Meal Tickets: $10 for Adults & Youth (age 11-99) $5 for Children (age 6-10) Free for Children (5 and younger) The Elks will be providing our meal again this year. Proceeds help support their charities.
