Celebration of Worship Next Week

Sunday, April 8, 2012

The journey of the disciple does not end with Easter, it begins. Jesus calls Peter and the other disciples to go out and witness to God’s love first in their local community and then out to the whole world. He not only calls them to go out, but empowers them by giving them the Holy Spirit. By following the Holy Spirit’s guidance, they go out to watch God change the world! Have you been filled with the Holy Spirit? The Lord wants to empower you to show His love to others. Ask the Lord to fill you with His Spirit and to show you how you can become a positive Christ-centered influence in your community and throughout the world.

Christ has risen from the dead. He is alive today. He lives in us through the Holy Spirit. Today God is with you! Worship Him.

Easter is the celebration of Christ’s victory over sin, death, and evil. As part of this journey, we were asked to abstain from a favorite food or activity during Lent and donate what we have saved to provide safe water for another person.

Checks should be made out to “Monte Vista” with a notation that says “Waiting for Water”

#289 Christ the Lord Is Risen Today Let It Rise Alive Forever Amen

Monte Vista’s PCH Discipleship Groups will move together through bible study toward a greater understanding of Christ’s sacrifice and victory, his love for the poor and thirsty, and the role we can all play in caring for the 884 million people who are still waiting for water.

Many Thanks to Our March Sunday School Teachers
