e suck, and that‘s sad. Yep, you read that one right. As you probably know, the german issue of #6 has been out for quite a while already but we just didn‘t get around to finishing up the english translations, which is why this english version of MONSUN #6 is not late but horribly late and we are truly sorry. If it‘s any consolation, issue #7 is al-

ready in the works and we promise not to let anything like that happen ever again and will continue to publish both versions at the same time in the future! The tour is over, none of us froze to death but some of the staff will probably never get rid of the cold they caught. Here‘s to hoping that the next tour will be in summer! ;D Also a loud SHOUT OUT to all of you

who went to the final concert in Paris and got stuck there due to the volcano in Iceland puking all over Europe and effectively ruining all flight-traffic for pretty much a week. THANK GOD that didn‘t happen a couple of weeks earlier! Long story short, we hope you enjoy this issue and we‘re looking forward to seeing you again in #7... that time on time!!

WELCOME TO HUMANOID CITY

GUSTELANGEL, GERMANY It was an odyssey. A 10-hour ride in 3 different trains, and me being packed with tents, bags and suitcases. Yet, somehow I still managed to arrive safely at the Rockhal in Luxembourg early on Saturday evening. I quickly put up my tent in the barricades and then I finally had my first relaxing minute of the day. It was a very short minute though, because at exactly this moment, the bus with the 100 lucky Portugese winners for the Secret Show arrived. A group of French and German fans immediately started insulting them, so the poor ones didn‘t even dare to get off the bus. It was a disgusting situation! In the end, it took several securities to lead the 100 fans into the venue. All of us other fans were trying to find a good spot where we were able to listen to the gig from outside. Must have been quite an image how we were all basically hanging in front of the doors and windows. :D We were all extremely happy though to catch a glimpse of what we could expect on Monday. CAMPING, FREEZING, MAYHEM - GO! My tent is the perfect size for two people. So of course, it actually was four of us in total who spent the night in it. Lying in a square, every head on the bottom of the person next to her! It only took an hour before condensed water started to build up because it simply was way too small and sticky. I kept waking up because of the noises from outside. Rain, I thought. At one point it got too hot for me and I crawled outside, but not the expected rain awaited me. No, it was snowing like crazy! All the stuff we had left outside was buried under a huge pile of fresh snow. Not how I wanted to start my morning at all! It kept on snowing all Sunday long. Every once in a while, we stopped by the shopping mall next to the venue to warm up. The people working there weren‘t too fond of us though. We even had to sneak in at the back entrance once, because the bar staff at the front entrance kept telling us we would disturb their guests. Later that day, they closed down the toilets, and we weren‘t even allowed anymore to use the toilets at the nearby cinema. However, that wasn‘t that bad, because around the same time, they put up a warm-up-tent for us, handed out blankets, and we even got hot soup. Great organisation and we want to thank all the people in charge! I stayed awake this last night of camping. Our tent was too crowded and way too hot inside to get any sleep. Monday morning arrived soon anyway, and so we packed away our stuff and started the real queuing in the barricades. It was raining, very windy and the camping started to have an impact on my body - each and every one of my bones was hurting! (I know, I know - I should stop whining, but me and my bones, we‘re not the yongest anymore after all! ;D ) Not long into the queueing and close to entry, the usual bitching, shoving and fighting all around us started up. Some people were behaving like they were in a battle for life and death. Once having my ticket checked (which was difficult for the staff there, because people were pushing so hard!) I started running like mad, but unfortunately several people managed to be faster than me. But what a great feeling it was to finally be at the much-loved spot in front of stage. I was on Georg‘s side, second row and the concert was even better than anything I expected. But you know what made me even happier? To finally be in my own bed at home in Hamburg again. Oh bed, how much I missed you!!

GUSTELANGEL

What I can tell you in the end is, that camping in winter time was definitely an adventure. A good or a bad one? Haven‘t decided that yet! :D

STARSHINE, AUSTRIA First concert of the tour! After months and months of waiting and preparations, it was finally time for us to travel to Luxemburg. The weather-gods took pity on us and surprised us with a sunny and extremely mild February day. After the usual chaotic door-opening, we found ourselves inside at 07:00 p.m. sharp, and even though we‘ve had arrived relatively late – “only” around lunchtime – we still made it into the 1st sector. The stage is just teh Amazinkh!! In advance, I had been a bit scared that the whole show would resemble a Britney Spears blingy-bling-show, but fortunately the Humanoid City set-up is everything but a princessscene. It features a futuristic design in the style of heavy-used industrial, which results in an oppositional look that is still harmonious. This description doesn‘t seem to make sense, but you will notice the amount of work that went into making it both stylish and functional at the same time. I especially liked the concept of the show: The boys are landing with their UFO in Humanoid City and by leaving it again after the concert and symbolically flying to the next City, we have a whole story that‘s being told during the tour. Stage and light provide a perfect set-up that the boys really know to play well: You could feel their nervousness all through the concert but nevertheless, the four boys gave everything to make rock us hard. Bill maybe went over the top a bit which led to him stumbling during

SEITE 10

THE TOUR ISSUE

a speech and almost falling off the stage. After the appalled and slightly sarcastic comment: “Und hier war die Bühne zu Ende!” (And that‘s where the stage ends!), he professionally went on with the show. Lack of band interaction is something one couldn‘t complain about either. Tom took the line “Guck mir ins Gesicht” (Look into my face) during “Übers Ende der Welt” literally and shot Bill quite the look... of course followed by immediate ecstasy by the audience like every time Bill and Tom are playing the twin-card. :D I was incredibly saddened that the concert sold rather poorly. The first sector was relatively small and behind the second wave-breaker, there were only a few rows of fans hanging out. This could be due to the fact that Luxemburg probably is not the most prestigious place, but for this amazing tour opening, I would have definitely wished for more people in the crowd. Back to concert itself, I can definitely say that the mix between show effects and performance turned out nicely. Even though there‘s a lot to marvel at, the music doesn‘t drown in the effects and if you get to experience just HOW much fun Bill has riding the motorcycle and presenting his outfits, then one is willing to accept that he repeatedly has to briefly leave the stage to get changed. Like instead, you can for example concentrate on the beautiful solo of Georg and Tom during “Kampf der Liebe”. As for the pyro show, I think that it‘s much better integrated in the show this tour. In contrary to the

Paris Open Air in summer 2008, the pyro show doesn‘t appear our of the blue but fits those three songs in which it‘s used during this tour. Concerning the setlist, you will notice that the focus has been set on variety. This time, the acoustic part got placed in the middle of the show (Highlight: Geisterfahrer!) and with 15 german and 4 english songs, one can hardly complain about monotony in that department. The arrangement of “Screamin” within the setlist is like a sign for bigger things to come still: To sing a part of their biggest world hit “Monsoon” right after “I‘m screamin‘ on the top of the world” is what I call BIG CINEMA. But those are more or less the only few new arrangements. Personally, I would have preferred for them to leave out the Techno-Beats in “Träumer” and “Sonnensystem” and instead create a more down-toearth rock-sound. But hey, this is a Tokio Hotel gig and one can‘t have everyting. As long as you like the concert as a whole, everything‘s fine. All the better that if there are songs that you didn‘t like on the album, they will totally rock your world when experiencing them live. After experiencing it in concert for the first time“Hey you” turned out to be one of my personal highlights of the show!! After gazing at a total of six of Bill´s stage outfits, the concert ended with a very beautiful live-version of “Für immer jetzt”. This tour, the confetti is a mix of black and red – such a wonderful feeling to get showered in it! Time has really flown by! In Esch

give everything in those 1 ½ hours they are playing. Additonal back-up tracks are still there to support Bill. The really high notes for example in “Träumer” and “Lass uns laufen” are still playback but as long as the playable and singable parts are live-live, it‘s OK for me. During the first two concerts, Bill sounded like he was in pain most of the time and had to strain his voice in order to deliver, but during the week, he kept getting better and better and in Oberhausen, you could already hear a vast improvement in his performance that was most probably caused by the routine of being on

tour and playing almost every evening. Overall, I‘m really pleased with what the band has accomplished. The concerts are fun and after having the show experienced once, you can‘t get enough of it. So, fellow fans, drag your friends and relatives to a concert! “Welcome to Humanoid City” is definitely worth seeing!!

SENNYO

I still thought that it was due to the band entertaining us so well, but in Rotterdam, I came to the conclusion that the concert is very short indeed. A running time of 93 minutes is way too short for a concert by a band who‘s already on their third album. When it comes to a debut tour, it‘s understandable that the band only plays for one and a half hours but judging by their repertoire and the big production that went into Humanoid City, I think Tokio Hotel should have played for 2 hours at least… But despite this little shortcoming, I can say that the boys really do

Either, you‘re an evil stage and you suddenly come to an end, so he almost falls off, or you‘re as awesome as we are and totally fuck up his truly melodramatic „we are one human with four ears“ twin-moment before „In your Shadow I can shine“. STARSHINE, AUSTRIA The 3rd stop of our first leg of the tour led us to Belgium, into the city of the little pissing man. The weather adjusted to Manneken Piss and so it unfortunately rained the last hour before the doors opened. Inside the venue, we were greeted by an absolutely awsome atmosphere though. Brussels was definitely the best-sold venue of all the Benelux concerts, a fact Bill would later comment on with an euphoric: “I love this venue so much!” The Belgian audience also was by far the most dynamic one of whole February leg, and after the DJ who was the warm-up act for this concert managed to turn up the excitement inside the venue even more, there was no stopping us. Tokio Hotel were greeted by a full blast of energy that lasted through the whole concert. In Brussels, they played the English set, and just like with the German one, there are songs I love in this language and others I despise. That‘s personal preferences of course, but In general I think it‘s rather weird that there‘s only one german song in the english set while the German one features four English songs. I would have preferred an equal handling,

but this leads us once again to the knowledge that a TH-gig is no musical request show and life is no picnic and so on and you know how this story goes… ;D This detail did not spoil the mood in any way for me though. Both audience and band were rocking like there was no tomorrow. Especially in those moments with Bill on the podium, I feared for the existence of the rails given his wild dance moves. In the meantime, Georg was all boldrock-dude, accompanied by a lot of headbanging. Those rare times when Bill was for once not dancing with much physical exertion, he ensnared the fans like a predator and crept up to Tom like he was ready to pounce and tackle him off stage – D´squared baggy jeans and cornrows included. I actually don‘t quite dare to say it, but in his black tight full-body suit you could see a certain resemblance with Catwoman here and there. During the whole show there‘s actually a lot of Bill‘s typical dance moves. His attempts to be really cool looked kinda sweet when wearing jeans and a bandshirt… in leather pants and steel jackets on the

Total hormone-overload!!

Also, concerning the stage outfits, it‘s probably better to see the show a few times. Once you are used to them, they - together with stage and setting - result in a nice overall picture. This time, I really like the screen-coverage. A big BRAVO to the people who worked that out!! The show itself is very prearranged. There‘s almost no opportunity for spontaneous speeches and from Bill‘s change breaks till Gustav‘s every gesture during his audience interaction in the encore, everything seems to be perfectly timed. There are some situations in which it‘s possible for the boys to go to different points of the stage, but most of the

SENNYO

A new thing on this tour is that the band gives it up for the fans. I think that‘s a really sweet and nice gesture and probably a natural thing that the motivation to do that sinks with every show. Gustav is clapping like Queen Mum – a fact I‘d rather not like to comment on. In the German setlist my favorits are “Geisterfahrer”, “Automatisch” and “Für immer jetzt” – in the English one it‘s “Pain of love”, “Dark side of the sun” and “Hey you” that score points. Those varied highlights make it obvious how different one experiences those two sets. Hence I recommend to everyone to attend concerts in both languages and I hope for a liveDVD that covers both sets as well.

Incredible, absolutely unbelievable... SENNYO

other hand… well, let‘s call it ~entertaining~. He‘s trying though and that‘s what counts in my opinion. His own excitement about his little interludes during “Dogs unleashed” and “Pain of love” is so catching, that you‘re only embarrassed the first few times. But aren‘t we all creatures of habit?

time, they have to follow the lead. In general a rather atypical thing for a rock concert, but I guess that‘s the automatic outcome when using a stage that moves and produces fire.

DAISY, DEUTSCHLAND Even before Tokio Hotel put even the first toe on stage, the venue was already quivering in excitement. Instead of the usual warm-up-band, a DJ-Duo was hired which was a great decision because it was pretty

the evening and everyone was loudly singing along. The time between warm-up act and main act was used cleverly by the fans as well by hollering „We want Tokio Hotel!“ and when the remixed version of World Behind My Wall

ryone inside the venue could sing along even with the new songs! Singing turned out to be more fun that screaming too. ;) So it was no surprise, that the audience sang along with Bill from the first to last song. The atmosphere was incredible and

PRINCESS PEACH, GERMANY It was afternoon already, when I arrived at the venue. Therefore I hurried up to the hostel – there was still time for a little make over though – and went with my friend to the concert hall. The little time left to the beginning of the admission we spent drinking champagne. Unfortunately the tipsy feeling was long gone at the beginning of the concert, since we had to wait what felt like 10 hours until it finally started... with our boys and not with any SEITE 33

kind of support act or DJ (if you do not count the acrobatic light engineers, who got lots of applause and screaming for climbing up the rope ladders to the huge stage spots). But also without champagne the money spent was definitively worth it. Somehow the concerts „at home“ are still the best, although fans hit Bill with glow sticks – one of them got even stuck on his costume. Sometimes I had to ask myself if Bill mumbles or if he wasn’t that word perfect or if it was just the screaming little alien next to me, that I could hardly hear him sing. But hey, who cares, as long as Tom does his cute little dances (and even shakes his little bottom!) and keeps your eyes entertained. Happily we returned to our hostel, where we met two Italians who complained that German fans are not half as hospitable as the Italian ones. Really girl, we definitely should work on that.

by lots of fire causingheatwaves and watery eyes even in the seat rows at the very back. One new thing was, that the band thanked the fans by clapping their hands and one could hear Tom twice quietly shouting “Dankeschön”. That made up for Bill’s rather short announcements. Another highlight was the acoustic version of “Humanoid”, which showed the song from a completely new perspective. The concert was completed by Gustav’s traditional La Olá and a dozen drumsticks, that he threw into

the audience. Besides the mostly German fans there were many Italians, people from the Netherlands, Poland and France, which caused “slight” troubles during the two hours we had to wait. Already before the concert several people had to be pulled out of the crowd – by the way: it was quite astounding that there were also many male fans attending the concert. All in all it was definitely a successful first concert in Germany.

PHANTOMRIDER, GERMANY The well organised admission, the 2-hours-delay of the band, the more or less well done fan actions – Bill would call it a successful first home game. Except for “Dogs Unleashed”, with Bill wearing cool shades, sitting on a motorbike, “Hey You”, “Screaming” (with a short detour to “Monsoon”) and “In Your Shadow” they did the setlist in German, everything worked out fine without any problems. Especially “Sonnensystem” and “Zoom”, which were accompanied

GEIL=GEORG, GERMANY „You are now entering Hamburg“.. Friday, February the 26th, 11.00 am – two and a half days before the concert. We were just about to arrive in Hamburg when our navigation system died on us which meant, we had to find the „camp“ without any help. Which, again, took us one hour so after we finally managed it, we parked the car and had our names written down on the list – first row was ours for sure. Then the waiting began. We had to wait at a „Fi**erparkplatz“ (Fu**erparking-lot), where people usually meet in the evening to have „fun“ in the woods. Of course, one could find lots of evidence of their activities around, urgh. Thanks to the police, camping was not easy at all either. The did not want our tents so we had to remove them and they argued that camping in public space is not

allowed in Germany. Fans with tents just went deeper in the woods to hide from the police, but of course they did notice and told them once more to remove the tents altogether. Hence. the fans who wanted to sleep outside in their tents had to find a solution how to spend the night. It was raining almost all the time, with short interruptions of one or two hours. We were sleeping in our car, which we also used as a warm-up place. On the other side of the street, there was a round house with tables outside and most people gathered there to find a dry spot under the open umbrellas of the bar. The owner started to play music on Saturday and offered warm drinks. Every morning and evening there was a list-check. Fans who were not there received a warning or were deleted from the list. Saturday night, 24 hours before the concert actually started, the first 100 fans finally received their (first row) wristband. All others had numbers written on their hands. When that part was finished, the first 100 fans organised themselves in a row and went to the arena. 100 fans following one car – what a sight!

rain during the night, because there was no possibility to construct a “roof” and thank god, the weathergods liked us and so we survived the night dry! On Sunday, the local security gave out extra wristbands with numbers on it. We were allowed to leave the queue and go whereever we wanted for as long as we were back again between 4 and 5pm. It was raining all day. The admission into the venue started at 5.30 instead of 5pm as was originally scheduled. We managed to get into first row on Georg’s side next to the runway and were really glad that we had not decided to go for Tom’s side where they had to pull out girls every couple minutes. On Georg’s side, there was no pushing and pulling. The two Italian girls behind us were lovely and gave us plenty of space even. This was my first Tokio Hotel-concert without having someone stuck to my back. In short: pure luxury! After the gig, we left the venue and our residence of the last three days. Our trip ended as it had started: in the rain. Still, we had a great time in Hamburg and I’d always do it again!

At the arena those 100 fans went straight into their separated area for queuing and prepared for the night. All other fans did the same, but outside this area. Waiting begun one more time. The night was very, very cold although our spot was sheltered due to a wall. Everybody was hoping that there wouldn’t be

WELCOME TO HUMANOID CITY 2010

It was my 13th Tokio Hotel concert and as such, it was bound to be the most beautiful of them all! Which is why I wanted to do it once more for one last time: One last time of sleeping in the cold, just to be as close to stage as possible. I made my way to the Color Line Arena on Friday to get a number from the girls in charge of the list. Just as I arrived at the „Humanoid City Camp“, I got to see the Hamburg police doing the same. Apparently, there were problems with our tents. Everybody had to remove their tents... a well known problem we already know from past tours‘ concerts. Our list-girls then tried to get a camping approval from the public order office but failed so once again, our camp was unfortunately shut down by the police. Most fans who traveled to Hamburg decided to stay in Hostels then, the fans from and near Hamburg slept at home, and everybody only showed up when the list was checked. Only the fans who had been at the venue from the very beginning since 5 days prior - decided to stay there and sleep in their cars. After the list was checked again, I went back home to my place to get another good night of sleep before I was on my way to the arena again. The plan was to stay in the camp

from Saturday on, and also sleep there. Saturday evening there was a campfire made for us, and we got some hot tea - everything to keep us somewhat warm. Tokio Hotel‘s music was playing in the background, and finally there was the right atmosphere for such an adventure. Finally, it was time for the last checkup before the concert-day, the first 100 fans got their wristbands and then were divided up into groups, and me and some girls from Belgium and Italy that I‘ve meet in Lux-

embourg quickly went home to get away some of our stuff. During that time, we got the message that the fans began queueing for real now and so we hurried back in order not to lose our place in line. The one night we spent in front of the venue turned out to be a real task for all of us. It took me forever and a day to fall asleep because I would never have thought it to be this cold! I basically shivered myself into sleep. My blanket soon got very wet and icky because of the rain, so luckily the girls next to me were kind enough to share their blankets with me.

No matter how many blankets we threw over us, we didn‘t get any warmer though. One girl even got seriously sick that night and to be honest, even my body reached its limits as well. I was really close to say ‚screw the first row‘ and just go home! A lot of us were freezing like crazy and so we called several institutions like the fire department to ask them whether they could bring us some thermal blankets or the like but NOBODY did it! It was pretty much being denial of assistance if you ask me! Fire departmens in other cities had no problem with helping, just in Hamburg we were treated so badly. The morning of the concert day started with the promise that we would get the real wristbands for the first row or first section at 8am. That turned out to take forever. though and it was also a nightmare to go to the toilet, since there was only one single toilet for all the people around! All in all, not the best way to start a day after a horrible night. While still waiting for our writsbands, a new disater was about to happen: A group of fans arriving from the concert in Oberhausen were cutting the line and went straight in the front where the people with the very low numbers were standing. They threatened to beat us up if we didn‘t let them stay in the front, and there was talk among the fans was that they even had brass knucks with them and that it was those girl, who had pulled of the very same stunt in Oberhausen as well two days earlier!

The security couldn‘t or wouldn‘t do anything against them. Their only advice was that we should provoke them until they would hit us because then, they would have a reason to kick them out of line. But who of us would be stupid enough to wanna get hurt?! First row isn‘t worth that and besides that, if we would have taken the first hit, all of us would have been kicked out of line. At least that was what security threatend us with.

there was a bunch of fans standing before the ones on our list, and that‘s when it all was over for me. All I was thinking was:„I don‘t want to do this anymore. I wanna go home. Instantly the band and fans became one and rocked out to songs like „Ich Brech Aus“ or „Hey You. I especially liked the flames because they really did manage to power-up the boys‘ performance even more. After Bill thanked his favorite city for the amazing evening and the fans screamed „Encore“ for a couple of minutes, the band came on stage once more to perform „Zoom“, „Durch Den Monsun“ - the song that absolutely can‘t be missing at a concert - and the big finale with „Für Immer Jetzt“.

CHRISTINA D., GERMANY After 624 days of Tokio Hotel abstinence, my friends and me finally had the chance to go to another concert! We had been good fans and bought our tickets right on October the 26th 2009 on the day they went for sale because we wanted the best possible seating-tickets. In front of the venue, we met up with three other friends who had come all the way from Hannover and Munich and together, at 7pm, we stormed into the Color Line Arena. time finally had finally come. Time for those four boys from Germany to take the stage in Denmark, the only neighbor-country they still hadn‘t visited.

When we got inside, I met my Universal contact for the first time. We got divided into 2 groups because we were 25 fans. We were escorted to a small room above the stage, where we stood and waited until the boys came, all lined up against the wall and to be honest, it felt like someone was going to point out the killer any second. The warm-up act (The Dreams) band kept walking by the room and waving to us and pretty soon, the boys came. They all looked amazing as usual and also very casual. Bill wore grey sweatpants, and a black hoodie. Tom was wearing leather gloves (WTF? Are you afraid we are going to infect you or something lol?)... They started signing our stuff. Bill was the first of course, and when he got to me, I asked if we could take a photo, and we did. Then Tom came, and because I was so happy that I finally got a picture with Bill, I gave

AND WHAT A DAY IT WAS. I had arrived from Hamburg in the middle of the night, to find more than 50 girls camping in front of the venue. Some of them even had been there for as long as five days! As soon as I stepped out the car, girls were calling my name. It was awesome to see the Danish fans, and most of them knew me since I am the Fanclub Leader. Later in the day, fans really started arriving. They were all psyched and happy that the boys were really finally coming to our country. Most of the fans have never seen the band live so this was extra „großes Kino“ for them. I had been asked by a girl, if I wanted

him a picture of Gustav to sign. He then said „Das ist doch Gustav?“ (I quickly have to say I was the only one talking German, and I guess Tom either heard I talked German to Bill, or he might have recognized me. I personally think the first ;D). That was such an embarrassing moment! Gustav and Georg finished signing, and it was time for photos. When it was my turn, I grabbed around Bill and Georg and said „Everybody smile now - you too Gustav“ (I think I said it in German...), and he said something like „Ja ja, das sagen sie immer“ (yeah, yeah, they always say that). We gave them our gifts, and Bill literally lit up when I said „Ich habe Geschenke vom Offiziellen Dänischen Fanclub“ (I got presents from the Official Danish Fanclub). He said „Aaah, wie schööööön!!“ (Aaah, how nice!!). After the meeting, which was sadly extremely short, we were let into the venue. Front row right infront of Tom - SCORE! Soon the other girls got in, and The Dreams started to play. The concert was amazing. The highlight was definitely that the boys sang in GERMAN! And even better, Bill spoke English to us. That made it obvious to me, that they were aware we wanted German music, but might not be the best at speaking it. Bill was really happy, and said at

eyes only. ;) I even got a picture where he looks directly into my camera! During „Shadow“, I managed to have eye-contact with Bill for what seemed like forever. It was like he was singing to me... and I feel like a typical clichée just saying it. ;D I love the new stage and I love hearing the songs live. Screamin‘ is my absolute #1 tour-song! I just love it so much! After the concert, we saw Bill and Tom outside, walking to their busses. Tom was holding his dog on the leash, which by the way also has an „Access All Areas“ card around his neck which is absolutely hilarious. It was awesome to finally have the boys in Denmark, and it was truly an honor to meet them and to welcome them here. I guess this means that Ziggy and Onerva can no longer make jokes about the fact they still havn‘t visited Denmark, right? :D The first of March will forever stay in mine, and many Danish fans‘ hearts.

Being in first row means you get to have eye-contact with the boys. And oh boy did I ever! Tom is litterally a steamy sex-train. He is clearly trying to do something to you, using his

When Tom’s blog announced that „World behind my wall“ would be the new single, almost everybody went crazy – finally something new from Tokio Hotel! Of course there were as always some of us who did not like the choice of the song, but up to then nobody could have known that this would be a marginal problem. The first shock was not long to come – the video would be released in English only. I had to ask myself: What on earth is wrong with them? After a few days the German video was released as well and everything seemed to be fine after all in Tokio-Land. Everybody was anxiously awaiting the new single in stores. There was a release date in the beginning, but it was delayed again and again. When there seemed to be something like a final release date, we were eagerly anticipating it and finally: the day had arrived – the single ... not. Only a few happy French fans had the single as physical copy, the rest of us went away empty-handed. WTF?? We could download the single (and a few days later also the video) for free, Bill was on the catwalk of a fashion show in Milan, the twins on the cover of GQ ... everything seemed more important than the single. And we are still without our single, still missing an announcement of the band, which would explain us, what actually went wrong. By now we know that the single will not be released physically in Germany/Austria and also elsewhere there will be no release as a real CD. The few, that one could buy in France will stay the only ones. These are the facts, we have to face up to. All I can say is: We have to make sure, that radio stations finally start playing Tokio Hotel and that the band gets more airplay. Otherwise we will have to settle for buying mp3s in the future – and I guess, this is definitely not, what we want!
