March 2018 Greetings! Welcome to our first newsletter! For those of you who knew us as the "Western Monastic Project," the first piece of news is we have a new name, as you can see. There have been many other developments too. Perhaps most importantly, we've recently launched our website. On it you can find news articles, read about our initiative, and more. We have many ideas for resources, links, and news stories we will be adding to the website soon, so this is just the beginning. Yesterday we published our first blog post, with the results from the monastic survey we first sent out in August 2016. We learned a great deal from all the responses we received, and we're happy to finally be able to share the results with you. Thank you to all of you who took the time to complete the survey. Over the next few months our goal is to keep developing the website, especially the resources page and the news page. We're also planning to apply for 501(c)(3) non-profit status in the USA. As this initiative is new, you can help us by spreading the word, especially
with other monastics you might know. You can do this by sharing this email with friends, and liking our new Facebook page. Thank you for your interest and support, Karma Lodrรถ Gangtso PS.
