48 Talbingo Markets October long weekend markets The Talbingo markets are here again on the 1st October and what a great lineup they have for you, at Miles Franklin Park from 8am to 2pm. A two hour concert presented by the Kapooka acoustics army band from 10am to 12noon. There will be plenty of chairs and tables provided for all to sit, and enjoy food and drinks whilst listening to some of Australia’s greatest band presentation, and also the lovely Aimee Breward’s sweet voice in the breaks. We have over 60 stall sites reserved with items of all discriptions and plenty of yummy food and drinks to enjoy, as well as a blacksmith demonstratation. See you there for a great day.

This special day will include: • NPWS ranger talks • Aboriginal cultural demonstrations • Guided cave tours • Live music • Photographic exhibition • Special commemorative and educational displays • Morning tea and a free sausage sizzle Cost: Free Time: 10am - 3pm Date: Sunday 8th October 2017

14 October 2017 Run along the iconic Hume and Hovell Walking track, this ultra marathon is not for the faint-hearted. In addition to the 100km, 100km relay, and 50km events, this year the Hume & Hovell Ultra will also have a 100 Mile and a half marathon event. This year the course will start and the finish of events will occur at the Henry Angel Trackhead site. Camping will be available, as well as the usual finish line hospitality, food and amenities. Register online by 11th October 2017.

To celebrate Lions serving in every country of the world come join in the family fun picnic day and cultural dress parade. From 10am at the Boys Club Hall Tumut. Free event. Sausage sizzle and drinks or byo picnic. Indigenous culture, old-fashioned games, artwork and entertainment. Wear native dress or items from any country. Celebrate spring at Tumbarumba Tastebuds, combining the open Cellar Doors with the Garden Club’s Open Gardens and Flower Show. Take the opportunity to meet the vignerons who produce our awardwinning wines, some of the cellar doors are open exclusively for the weekend. Visit the various gardens on display, appreciate the dedication that goes into the presentation of the gardens and flower show. Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th October 10am - 4pm. Entry to cellar doors is free, cost of entry is $25 for all gardens & flower show or $5 per garden.

Come and join us for a afternoon/ evening of local produce, local artists and local beer. Tumut River Brewing Co, 1pm - 12am. The BBQ will be offering up a selection of local products such as Highfield Lamb, Smoked Trout, local grown corn on the cob, grilled fruit salad and other tasty delights. The brewery has a selection of beers, brewed onsite including the popular Blowering Blonde and Ginja Ninja. So come grab a feed, sample the brewery’s best and listen to live local talent with us at the Brewery. Bookings Not Required
