GRAND LODGE OF MISSOURI

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON MASONIC EDUCATION To the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of the State of Missouri Brethren, The Grand Lodge Committee on Masonic Education for the year of 20142015 met on two occasions in November and December of 2014. One was held at the Masonic Home Building in Columbia, Missouri and one meeting was held telephonically as a conference call. The brethren who attended these meetings continued to be hard working, enthusiastic and visionary in the potential for what Masonic Education can accomplish for the Craft in advancing Missouri Masonry. It has been a pleasure to serve the Missouri Craft through this venue and the members of the committee are thankful to the Grand Lodge for this opportunity to be engaged in such an important endeavor. The Committee this year functioned as an oversight and support for the Mentoring Committee. It was our pleasure to work with the Mentoring Committee members operating under the direction of RWB Jeff Parrotte. That committee was able to produce and distribute the first edition of the Masonic Mentoring Program for the Grand Lodge of Missouri and the benefit of the Craft throughout the state. Further, we tip our hat to RWB Kevin Fuller in his efforts to improve the Masonic Achievement Award Program where lodges are honored for their Masonic activities that reflect an adherence to Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. Please see his report for specifics of their accomplishments for the year. Additionally, the committee worked with brethren who were overseeing the transfer of information from the previous Grand Lodge website to the new format. This included the review of the materials that had previously been developed and loaded in the LAMP module of the website. The committee is poised to reinstitute this portion of the website once the new platform in fully operational and stable. As a continuation of the Masonic Minutes program the committee has published two one-page education modules on the Grand Lodge of Missouri website. Looking to the future, we are committed to continue providing subject matter for the Masonic Minutes. We look forward to the prospect of providing materials for on-line education as the new Grand Lodge website platform is introduced. We hereby submit this report and pray that all efforts to assist the Craft in their search for Greater Light will be empowered by the Almighty and His Blessings upon Masonry. Respectfully Submitted, David B. Brown – Chair Chris Harrelson William Kiphart II Matthew Ruth James Thayne Bobbie White
