Proposal to Amend Section 16.010 of the Grand Lodge By-Laws to Read as Follows: Found by the Committee on Jurisprudence to be in due form. Reviewed and found not objectionable by Interim Grand Lecturer.

Section 16.010. CONFERRING DEGREES. A candidate may not receive more than one degree at the same communication. (1992-83, 2000-70, 71) The first sections of the first and second degrees, and the first and second sections of the third degree, cannot be conferred on more than one candidate at the same time, except as permitted pursuant to Section 2.010(q), and except that the first section of the first degree may be conferred on two candidates, with the approval and supervision of the Grand Lecturer or a resional or district deputy grand lecturer and the use of a second set of steward. In conferring the third degree on any candidate, the first and second sections of the degree must be without any break in their continuity. Each degree must be conferred in its entirety at the same communication.
