AMENDMENT OFFERED AND ADOPTED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: Section 10.040. GRAND LODGE DUES. Each lodge pays eighteen dollars ($18.00) to the Grand Lodge for each Master Mason (except those whose dues have been remitted and exempted under Section 18.050) and reported in the annual return, which dues include a subscription to The Freemason magazine, and one dollar ($1.00) for each Master Mason not otherwise remitted, relieved, or exempted from payment of dues to maintain and enhance the Public Relations Campaign for the good of the Fraternity. The Grand Lodge, promptly as collected, pays two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) for each Master Mason to the Masonic Home of Missouri, two dollars ($2.00) for each Master Mason to the Masonic Children’s Foundation, and twenty-five cents ($.25) for each Master Mason to each the George Washington Memorial Association and The Masonic Scholarship Fund of Missouri, Inc. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: In 2000, 2005, and 2010 the Grand Lodge adopted Resolutions authorizing the assessment of $1.00 per dues paying member for use by the Grand Lodge Committee on Public Relations to promote the fraternity. As the assessment has been regularly collected and put to use since 2000, it appears appropriate to add it to the By-Laws. This is not an increase in the per capita assessment, but simply codifies an assessment adopted on three separate occasions by vote of the Grand Lodge membership.
