Who do I like to support me? Guidance: When you direct your own support you decide who you want to hire and some of the training you would like for them to have. Do you prefer a female or male for your support needs or for a specific task / activity such as bathing? You decide if your personal assistant will need the following training to meet your needs: CPR, First Aide, Medication Administration, Behavioral Intervention Crisis Management Positive Behavior Supports. Your ISP must state why the trainings are not needed and what safeguards are in place to make sure your needs are met.
