Tell us about yourself: Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in modelling as a career? I'm a 14 year old, and at age 5 I realised I always wanted to be in front of the camera. As I got older I started making my own videos, acting, and pretending I was a fashion model. I live in the country in Iowa, so there aren't many opportunities for acting or modelling. My parents enrolled me in a small Musical Theater Production Company and my acting coach encouraged me to spread my wings. I told my parents I wanted to act and learn more and go on auditions. In 2014 I auditioned for AMTC (Actors Models, & Talent for Christ). I got in the program however all my classes would be held in Chicago about 4 1/2 hours away. My parents knew this was what I really wanted to do so they made the commitment to drive me to my classes ever other week. Towards the end of my program I grew, and one month before my graduation from ATMC I was told I should enter the Fashion Modeling divisions as well. In January 2016 I graduated from the program and received many call backs from various modelling and acting agencies. After much prayer my parents signed me with Brita Jackson from Arquette Talents in Minneapolis. How important is modelling education: Have you attended modelling courses? What related courses or studies have you taken? I have attending modeling course through AMTC and Arquettes. I'm home schooled and 14 years old, but I'm ahead on my studies. I continue my acting classes as well. By August 2016 I have completed 3 weeks Acting for Film from the New York Film and Academy, where I received a scholarship. My parents have taught me this industry is a marathon and not a race. I always want to and will continue to learn about modeling/acting. What do you think makes someone “fit to be a model? I have learned that modeling is hard work. Before I started I just thought it was all about "just being in front of the camera." My agent has taught me eating properly, regular exercise, and a positive frame of mind is what I need to have. Since I also act I have been able to use my acting skills during a photo shoot when the photographer is asking for a certain kind of emotion. Improv also helps with modeling. I believe someone fit to be a model must have all the skills as I talked about. But, most of all I have learned to never compare myself to other models. God made each of us different with different beauties and different talents. What are your goals as a model? How do you see yourself progressing in this field? My goal is continue to learn, continue to grow, and continue to be open minded to improvement. Of course my goal is to be success but I do realize and know I'm just starting off and it will take a lot of hard work. I have learned that for every yes I get for a booking, I have received 100 no's. But I keep persevering and not let that get me down.
