Makati Avenue has long been regarded as one of Metro Manila’s popular nightlife destinations. Tourists and locals like visiting its bars, clubs and restaurants. But in recent years its popularity has been given a boost due to its proximity to the upmarket Rockwell Center and the cool, hip Poblacion district. It is no surprise therefore that more hotels are being built here to accommodate the growing number of foreign and local visitors who want to fully immerse themselves in this area. But despite the growing competition, The A.Venue Hotel has managed to remain in the lead in a class all its own.
For the past ten years, The A. Venue has established a reputation as one of the premier hotels in the area. Unlike other dwellings the 290 guest rooms are spread out in three interconnected tower blocks. The studio rooms are spacious and equipped with microwave ovens, wifi, flat screen TVs and rainfall shower heads. In fact Eden Abella, the hotel’s marketing manager, says “That is the reason why we get a lot of bookings from groups like families and foreign tourists. They feel like they are staying in an upmarket condo in the middle of Makati.”
Aside from tourists and locals, the hotel is very popular among business travelers due to its proximity to the Ayala Business Center. To accommodate their needs, the hotel has two business centers with private meeting rooms. Another simple but thoughtful touch that attracts the business travelers here are the free local calls. While this is available to all the hotel guests, this is very important to foreign business travelers, as it allows them to save money from the huge fees charged by their country’s mobile phone carriers.
Once the guests have checked in, they will find that the hotel offers a variety of

leisure activities. There are two gyms, indoor and outdoor pools and kiddie pools for those who want to maintain their fitness routine. For those with children, there is a children’s playground and two children’s pools to keep them happy. For those who prefer to pamper themselves they can check out the Toccare Spa near the pool area. Aside from massages and beauty treatments the spa offers a steam sauna and jacuzzi. Once they are done and they think they need a new outfit to show off their new look, they can just walk over to the nearby Century Mall or if they prefer take a taxi to the Rockwell Mall.
If all these physical activities leave the guests hungry, the hotel has three restaurants located on the fifth floor. The Azzuro Restaurant, Granvia Café, and the pool bar. But if they want something more, there is a wide variety of restaurants just within walking distance from the hotel. Aside from Filipino and various types of Chinese cuisine, they can try out Middle Eastern, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Thai and even Mexican food.
Aside from the guest rooms the hotel has seven function rooms that can accommodate any event from twenty to two hundred guests. Whether it is a seminar, wedding or a debut, the hotel’s event team will make sure that everything will go as planned.
With its location and guest rooms, you probably think that it would cost a fortune staying here. Not really. The published rates per night range from P9,500 in a studio room to P15,000 for a two-bedroom Suite. This is definitely a good reason to have a The A.Venue staycation.
