Polled. We just can't say enough good things about this bull! He has been special BRC-C Rudolph from day one. We would sit at the door of the calving pen and he would come right up to us. He is a thick made bull with a lot of length and depth. He is a stout made bull who gets the work done. He is a descendent of Waukaru Patent 8161 through his sire. His dam, who came to us from Cyclone Trace Shorthorns, is our most productive bull-producing cow. This bull was easy to break to lead. He has been with a few of our cows so we will have a couple calves out of him this spring.

Shorthorn Plus 50%. Polled. This is one heifer who will definitely be BRC-C Eli's Lil Dakota missed. She has tons of personality. She loves attention and scratches. Her momma is our best young cow and traces back to the Velvet cow family purchased from Cyclone Trace Shorthorns. This heifer also descends from an easy keeping cow family -- all are in excellent condition and none of them have had calving problems. This heifer has it all! Eye appeal, length, feminity, and is structurally sound. We are so pleased with this heifer that we are planning to AI her mother again to Dakota Gold in the spring. This heifer is going to be tough in the show ring and is going to make a great brood cow. CHV Open Heifer

Polled. This heifer comes from a moderate framed cow with a ton of eye appeal and is very easy keeping. Ariel is clean fronted and a gorgeous moving heifer. Shorthorn Plus 75%. Horned. We have had tremendous success using Red Fair Red White and Roan White and Roan in our herd. All of the heifers have gone on to have successful show careers. Her BSF 320A Springtime 909G sire, TS Ben Cartwright, has been stamping them out for us on a consistent basis and we are now calving his first daughters and they do not disappoint. On the dam’s side she goes back to a foundation cow, GB Springtime, who we purchased from Gordon Brockmueller and she was bringing in calves at age 16! 909G would work both as a nice junior project and then go out and raise some salty ones. Homedale Max Rosa 085 is also the dam of the lead bull of Kaehler's Pen of Bulls at Denver this past January. Lots of performance and style go with these Pioneer daughters! Horned. Just a May baby, and we are excited to bring her to the MN Fair Red White and Roan Shorthorn Sale for your appraisal! Cinnamon is a female we feel will make a remarkable show heifer. She has a striking look with a nice long front end, a big middle, is sound off both ends and has a great personality to boot. Cinnamon is the kind that will compete and stay in your herd for a long time, as she is built for the long haul. If you are coming to the sale for a show prospect or to add some genetics to your program, make sure you find this heifer. CHV CED

This June 15th calf FC Summer Rose 947 is one that’s made a solid impression on us all this fall. Summer Rose is an elegant made, bold bodied heifer that in terms of leg and joint structure is purely impeccable! Don’t be standing ring side this summer with regrets, this one’s got all the bells and whistles to make the breeders’ and judges’ heads turn. Polled. Value loaded pair here! This is a working cow, as noted by the heifer calf at her side (and a yearling daughter at home). "They are what they do!" And this cow does it right. She calved in August and bred back in October and will have a fall brother or sister to the calf in the ring at the end of July. Just a note - OFS Red Cowboy was the top selling bull at the 2016 MN Shorthorn Sale. He scanned at 16.06 square inch ribeye at one year of age. He is a homozygous polled, calving ease, and extra-style sire - a grandson of Hot Commodity x and GFS Creole 9590x. Polled. When we made the decision to breed this heifer’s mother, FC Sweet Caroline, to our new herd sire, NR New Direction 309E, we had a good feeling if a heifer hit the ground this fall, she would be nothing short of impressive. While only three months old, FC Rainbow Brite 960G is a calf that’s built like her dam and has the extra flare and elegance we expected from the SULL Red Blood son. There is pure potential in this calf to make a run next summer in the late fall division.

Polled. Here is a moderate framed, wide topped, docile female that has that extra spring of rib and depth of body that we are all looking for. This heifer’s dam is an ET calf from a mating of KSS Creole’s Red Ruby 220 x Shadybrook Platinum 1Z. She is bred to ARG HECTOR 1777, who introduces 100% Argentine outcross genetics for fertility, calving ease, and early growth. His ease of fleshing and efficient use of forages will make an impact long term as his offspring get into production. What a pair this will be VERY SOON! An exciting opportunity for any producer! Genetic testing pending. Look for us on Facebook for updates. She is due to calve March 1. CHV AI bred to ARG Hector 1777 ET (x4267185) on May 22, then pasture exposed to KSS Kendras Final 410 (*x4280745) from June 29 to December 14. CED
