PERFORMANCE VENUE All performances are held at the Emporia Greensville Performing Arts Center, located at the Greensville Elementary School, 1101 Sussex Drive (Hwy. 301 North), Emporia, VA. The venue has been designed for optimum visibility from all sections of the theater. The entire facility is only 21 rows deep. To achieve excellent viewing angles, the seats form an “arc” around the stage. Seating capacity is 906.

SEASON TICKETS All seats are reserved and subject to availability. Adult seats, $167.50; Student seats $99.50.

HOLIDAY GIFTS Frustrated by Christmas shopping and buying what you hope will be a special gift? MRAC season tickets make great Christmas, birthday and special occasion gifts.

SHOWTIMES All MRAC performances will be held at 8:00 PM with the exception of the Michael Bolton performance. This show will begin at 7:30 PM. As a courtesy to our patrons, latecomers to our concerts are seated at an appropriate break in the program. Our ushers will determine the most appropriate time for seating.

The challenge of producing a concert series that features some of America's best known entertainers is a daunting task in a small and cozy theater that has limited seating. Season ticket revenue simply falls far short of our actual costs. Larger venues produce greater income due to their sheer size; however, through your financial support you can help us to continue producing "big city entertainment" in a small town setting.

The Time Jumpers

February 9, 2013 The Time Jumpers was established in Nashville in 1998 by an assemblage of high-dollar studio musicians who wanted to spend some spare time drinking beer and jamming with their sonically gifted buddies. To list the artists these pickers have recorded and toured with would be tantamount to posting all the Billboard country charts for the past 30 years.

The Time Jumpers band includes Grammy Award Winner and Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill. Additional masterful band members are Dennis Crouch, Larry Franklin, Paul Franklin, “Ranger Doug” Green, Andy Reiss, Dawn Sears, Kenny Sears, Joe Spivey, Jeff Taylor and Billy Thomas. The stages these luminaries have graced extend from the Grand Ole Opry to Carnegie Hall.

Perpetuum Jazzile March 9, 2013

The XL vocal group Perpetuum Jazzile (PJ), heralding from Slovenia, is one of the most frequently watched vocal groups in the World. The group's unprecedentedly impressive live sound represents a revolution in the sound production of large vocal groups' live concerts.

Repertoire consists of a broad selection of vocal pop and jazz, Brazilian bossa nova, gospel, blues, close harmonies, disco and funk sung mostly a cappella, occassionally accompanied by remarkable instrumentalists.

The hallmark of PJ is the youthful joy and enthusiasm this XL vocal group's members express in their performances. It is truly an uplifting and moving experience to hear the group perform live.

Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone April 13, 2013

Peter Blair Denis Bernard Noone is a multi-talented entertainer, who has been delighting audiences nearly all his life. He was born in Manchester, England, where he studied voice and acting at St. Bede's College and the Manchester School of Music and Drama.

At the age of 15, Peter achieved international fame as "Herman," lead singer of the legendary pop band Herman's Hermits. His classic hits include: "I'm Into Something Good," "Mrs. Brown, You've Got A Lovely Daughter," "Silhouettes," and many others. Ultimately, Herman's Hermits sold over fifty-two million recordings. In all, fourteen singles and seven albums went gold.

May 4, 2013 Conventional wisdom has it that Amy Grant put Contemporary Christian music on the map. She surely did that, achieving such breakthroughs as being the first Contemporary Christian artist to have a platinum record, the first with a #1 pop single, and the first to perform at the Grammys.

Contemporary Christian music’s first major crossover success, she has to date earned three multiplatinum albums, six other platinum albums and four more gold albums; scored 10 Top 40 pop singles and 17 Top 40 Adult Contemporary tracks, as well as a string of Contemporary Christian chart-toppers. She has won six Grammy Awards plus numerous Dove Awards.
