Summer Holiday Playscheme The Summer Playscheme this year is funded by a grant from Breckland Youth Council, expected grants from other organizations including Dereham Town Council and The Leslie Potter Memorial Trust and Mid Norfolk MENCAP’s own fundraising. It is organised to run on Tuesdays and Thursdays for children with learning disabilities aged 6 - 18 years over 4 weeks in the school summer holidays. Regretfully the service agreement with Children’s Services was terminated as part of the reductions to the voluntary sector support services.
Volunteer Help The Playscheme is very much dependent on voluntary help. Volunteers contribution to the scheme is invaluable and the Playscheme would not be able to run without their help. Appreciation certificates are given to every volunteer that support and work with Mid Norfolk MENCAP, whether it’s at our Charity Shop, Saturday Day Centres or the Playscheme. Please make contact with Debbie Newson at the Mid Norfolk MENCAP office on 01362 695300 and complete an application form to become a volunteer with any of the above services.
