180– Direct Marketing- 3 days This class is designed specifically for new reps. It covers everything a new rep needs to learn to jump start their career with Colonial Life. You will learn how to prospect, what to say when making a drop, how to use the phone for follow up calls to set appointments, how to track your activity for success and how to give a decision maker presentation. It covers objections, Units of Convictions and what it will take activity-wise to open accounts and earn a top notch living with Colonial Life. 140 - Benefits Counseling Class – 3 days Counseling and Enrolling Employees in Our Products Highly recommended for Benefits Counselors, this course gives you the basic knowledge and skills to counsel employees on their current benefits, as well as instructions on performing a needs assessment, and enrolling employees in our voluntary products.

143 – Benefits Counseling Certification Class – 6 hours Become Master Class Certified! This class covers the basics of health insurance, healthcare reform and Section 125. You will also learn how to understand the scope of healthcare reform and its impacts to our customers.

Important information if you use Windows XP If your laptop uses Windows XP, pay attention. Microsoft has announced it will end support, including critical security patches, for Windows XP April 8. Because of the increased risk this creates, Colonial Life will continue to provide limited support for laptops with Windows XP until Aug. 1, 2014. Start preparing for this transition soon. May Derby RACE event Rules This is a friendly competition region-wide. If/when the territory takes home the win, the top point earner wins and the trophy goes to the territory. Provide daily results to Jody so the territory results can be reported to the region daily. Points are standard: Dials=1 point Drops= 3 points Appointments= 5 points Signed Master Apps= 25 points The Derby RACE is a 1 ¼ mile RACE, with each quarter mile equating to one day. If/when the territory wins, the top point earner will receive a $100 gift certificate to Canterbury Downs. (If you live outstate, we will happily accommodate you with a gift certificate to be used elsewhere) Total territory points for the full RACE event will be used to determine which territory earns the trophy pictured above. Report EVERY DAY! Even if you can only RACE a couple of days – it’s the territory total that gets us in the money so let your activity be counted!
