Dear Parishioners, The Finance Council in reviewing the finances of the Parish have noted a ten (10%) drop in weekend collections. We are aware of our current difficult economic condition that many people find themselves in lately. In the quarter ending 1231-12, the collections have decreased by $3,488. As a member of the finance council I would like to encourage a 10% increase in contributions to offset the drop in collections. A good way to accomplish this is to make your offerings through EFT, which is electric funds transfer. Forms are attached. You can make your offering weekly or monthly. Father Pardue and the Finance Council want to thank the Parish members for their generosity to the Capital Campaign. If you have any question, please call Father Pardue or myself. In Christ Jesus, Edward A Carroll Chairman 318-308-0730 1st MONDAY SUPPER IN MAY The first Monday supper will be on May 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Sanctuary Candle burns in memory of Mark Gagnard SPECIAL COLLECTION (Weekend of April 27-28) Many dioceses right here in the United States do not have enough priests to serve poorer parishes. These dioceses, classified as home missions, cannot provide for the unique needs of their parish communities. The Catholic Home Missions Appeal supports these diocese by funding essential ministries. Please be generous in this Appeal and help strengthen the Church at home.

Bring a Friend; Call your Neighbors; Just come Hungry! Our Parish has pledged 96% of it's goal for the Annual Diocesan Appeal. This is a sign of your intense devotion to the spread of Holy Gospel. I am very grateful for your generosity. Thank You very much! Father John READINGS FOR NEXT WEEKEND Acts 15:1-2, 22-29; Rv 21:10-14, 22-23; Jn 14:23-29 Sixth Sunday of Easter
