What place do we give to the practice of our Holy Faith? The practice of our Holy faith is the most important part of our lives. It is the center of our existence. And yet all too often God is shoved to the background till we are ready to deal with him. God made us for himself. Think about that. All the other creatures exist for us. That is why the Lord gave man the task of giving each creature its name. But Man is the only creature made in his image and likeness. Moreover, it is only man that was made with an immortal soul, the only creature that exists both in the physical and spiritual worlds. We were made so that we could enjoy the presence of God forever and ever. We were made so that we could see his face. We were made so that he could love us. And sometimes we say “no to that love. That is foolish. It is foolish because without that love we cannot be whole, we cannot be normal. In fact to put creatures ahead of the creator leads to disorientation. Man without God is a hopeless mess. Man without God is hell! Thankfully, we are never without God in this life. Dear brothers and sisters let us give ourselves to God! Let us open ourselves completely to the Lord. He longs to do very much for us, but he wants us to trust him. The more we trust, the more we give him our hearts, the more he can do for us. Sincerely yours, Father John Thank you to Brad & Priscilla Gadel and their grandsons, Tucker & Dillan; Keith & Beth Chapman; Carl & Deborah Bess for the delicious breakfast last Sunday. The meal was as wonderful as the turnout and everyone in attendance appreciated the effort. READINGS FOR NEXT WEEKEND Acts 14:21-27; Rv 21:1-5a; Jn 13:31-33a, 34-35 Fifth Sunday of Easter
