ANNUAL DIOCESAN APPEAL IN-PEW SOLICITATION NEXT WEEKEND In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus Christ gives us His great commandment and his great commission: which is simply: “Go … and make disciples”. Next weekend, in every parish throughout the Diocese of Alexandria, Catholics who have not done so already will be asked to support the 2013 Annual Diocesan Appeal. Our local Diocesan Church is comprised of 50 parishes and 20 missions and serves more than 43,000 Catholics from all walks of life. Each year, every Catholic family throughout our local Church is asked to participate in the Annual Appeal. This is a vital sign of our unity in Christ as we reach out in faith and love to one another constantly in Jesus’ name. Supporting the Appeal is also a very meaningful way of expressing our gratitude to God for his many blessings. PARISH LENTEN MISSION - SAVE THE DATES Father Remi Pastor of St. James and St. Juliana Parishes in Alexandria will preach a Lenten Mission for us. 7:00 pm on March 17, 2013 and 6:00 pm on March 18 & 19, 2013. The response to the Gumbo Supper was so overwhelming that we ran out of food. We will try not to let that happen again. Please help us by putting your name on the sign up sheet in the vestibule to get an estimate of how much food to prepare. Any and all suggestions or comments are welcome. The April 1st Monday menu is Spaghetti. Thanks again for your response.
