Dear Parishioners, The ability to adapt is a necessary part of living the Christian life. When Jesus came to redeem us, some people were unable to adjust their understanding of who the Messiah is. They could not accept a crucified messiah or a crucified God, so they rejected Jesus, the author of our salvation. But Jesus presents to us a loving God, one who loves to forgive us, one who raises from the dead, heals the sick, feeds the hungry, casts out demon, and consoles the sorrowful, to name a few of his gifts to us. God is good and he is always good. Brothers and sisters, we make adjustments in our thinking about ourselves and others all the time. Can we not adapt our thinking about God? Is your concept of God serving you or is it doing you harm? Perhaps the time has come to make a change in the way we conceptualize God. That is another reason for celebrating Easter, so that we might be renewed in our relationship with God. Sincerely yours, Father John

COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND FOR CATHOLIC COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGN The Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC) focuses on finding new ways to bring the gospel message to you by working to be wherever the faithful and those seeking the faith are. CCC provides content the way you need it - on the Internet to strengthen marriage, in podcasts for daily readings, on television for Christmas Mass, and on Facebook for news, discussions, and sharing of the faith. Please be generous in the Collection and support this important work. CCC is how the Good News gets around to you.
