You may wonder why the statues of the three Kings are not present in the manger scene in Sunday, January 8 our church. Customarily, the 7:30 am Rosary 8:00 am Mass - Msgr. J. Guy Lemoine, Guy and three kings are not added to the manger till the feast of the Rosa Lemoine, Jack and Alma Lohman, and Epiphany, the feast of the three Mat and Janice Lohman + kings to symbolize their arrival Breakfast after 8:00 am Mass - Hall at the birthplace of Jesus in 5:30 pm Mass - For the People Matthew’s Christmas story. Monday, January 9 Remember the church celebrates Christmas with two versions No Mass of the story, his birth on the feast of Christmas and on the feast of his manifestation to the world (symbolized by the three Tuesday, January 10 kings) at Epiphany. By placing the statues in the manger only 7:00 am Mass - Lynda Ellington at Epiphany, they become tools that we use to proclaim the Wednesday, January 11 Gospel. May the light of Christ represented by the star over 7:00 am Mass - Carl Bess, Jr. + Bethlehem come into our hearts during this Blessed Christmas 6:00 pm - CCD Classes - Hall season. ORDINATION OF PERMANENT DEACONS For the first time in over 30 years, 15 men from the Diocese of Alexandria will be ordained as Permanent Deacons on February 4 and 11 at 10:00 am in St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. Those to be ordained February 4 are Benny Broussard, Ray Gibson, Todd Marye, Richard Mitchell, Ted Moulard, Bill Shaidnagle, Bill Travis, and Michael Young. Those to be ordained February 11 are Emile Barre, L.G. Deloach, Greg LeBlanc, Pat McCusker, Kip Pelto, Gary Schupbach, and John Whitehead.

Jim and Christy Gootee and the Two Hearts Team will be offering a retreat on Christian Dream Therapy at Maryhill Renewal Center on January 21 and 22 from 9:00 am Saturday to 5:30 pm Sunday. The retreat will look at dreams in Scripture as well as study God’s symbolic language found in our dreams. You will learn a variety of approaches to help you understand your own dreams.
