That Sound Dirty In Law But Aren't
TIPS FOR JOB INTERVIEWS By Scott Hayden Job interviews are nerve-wracking. Nobody really enjoys being poked and prodded by a complete stranger for half an hour, but it’s a necessary step that all of us have to go through when hunting for work. If you’ve been in a few interviews then you probably know what to do in order to impress the person on the other side of the desk. This article will focus on what you should not do. If any of the following actions come from you it will be guaranteed that the recruiter will write you off even before the interview is over. Do not be late. This has been said so many times, but if you blow it on the day of the interview then your chances of getting the job will be next to zero. Punctuality is valued by all employers and will view latecomers who are scheduled to be interviewed in an unfavorable light. If necessary, drive to the company’s location the day before to make sure you know the shortest route.
You will be asked about your previous job, and why you left that position. Temptation often gets the better of people and they begin ranting about how terrible things were at the old company, and how they were forced to work for an unforgiving tyrant. For all you know, your old boss could be a friend of the person who is interviewing you. Don’t mention other personal issues that are of no concern to the interviewer. This will create the impression that you’re too bitter and overburdened with problems to concentrate on the job. No boss anywhere would want to hire these types of people. It’s always wise to follow the lead of
the interviewer, and this is particularly important when exchanging humor. It’s rare for an interviewer to tell jokes, but it does happen. With that in mind, you should only tell a joke if the person interviewing you does it first. Be pleasant and laugh, but don’t go overboard and giggle uncontrollably. You want to appear disciplined and compatible with the directives of the company and not the one who likes to socialize too much.
Near the end of the interview you’ll be asked if you have any questions. If you’ve done your homework and genuinely support the product or service, ask questions relating to the company’s future objectives and predictions for growth. Asking nothing will make the interviewer wonder why you’re there in the first place. You might be the one with all the rights skills for a job, but you don’t show it then employment will be hard to come by.
Page 19 SPIRE www.spiremag.com.au
Never fidget or touch your face excessively. This indicates discomfort and the wrong message will be sent to the interviewer. It’s perfectly normal to be nervous during an interview but employers don’t want people who can’t maintain their composure.
44 WAYS TO MAKE THE 1. Read out loud. Very loud. And slowly. 2. While pointing to a very simple word, like 'the', ask the person next to you if he/she can pronounce it for you. 3. While looking at your book, turn so you’re facing the person. Then, peer over the top of your book, and say "PEEKABOO!!"
14. Bring a bag or purse, and peer into it and say, "Got enough air in their?" or, "Settle down in there. I'm trying to read!"
Page 20 SPIRE www.spiremag.com.aui
4. Put down you book, and look over and start reading the other persons book, and, either 1) say "Ooo. Nice book." or 2) when he/she looks at you, quickly pick up your book and act like you’re reading it.
15. Break the silence by making a bodily function noise, then say, "Wow! That was a good one!" 16. Every time the person next to you turns the page, make a strange sound, or a beep.
5. Suddenly look over at him/her, and say, "You’re one of THEM!"
17. Announce the page number each time you turn a page.
6. Put down your book, and look at him/her. When they says something like "what?", cut them off by saying "Are you accusing me of something?"
18. Spell every single word as you read it.
7. Read your book. Upside down.
20. Every few minutes, get up out of your chair, walk around the table, and sit back down.
8. Read your book from right to left. And flip the pages the same way.
21. Stand up, and continue reading.
9. Flip the page every two or so seconds.
22. Make a strange sound every few minutes, then act like you didn t do it.
10. Pick up your book, put it down, and say, "Wow. That was a good book." 11. Read silently, and then as if speaking to the character in your book, say, "No, Jim! It's a trap! Don't do it!!" Then turn to the person and reply solemnly, "He did it." when he/she looks at you. 12. Start arguing with yourself, then when he/she looks at you funny, say "Ohh, I'm sorry. I was just telling my subconscious to be quiet." 13. Every so often, yelp in pain, and look at your feet.
19. Hold your book right next to your eyes.
LIBRARY A FUN PLACE 23. Fall out of your seat, then say, “I meant to do that.” Then do it again. And again.
34. Start telling a VERY strange story, then half way through say, “Never mind.” 35. Start arguing with yourself. When they ask you who you are talking to, say, “You’re just jealous because the voices are talking to ME!!!” 36. Say, “whose Freddie?” Then act like you didn’t say anything. 37. Continuously rub a book while chanting, “Come out, come out. I know you’re in there!” When they ask what you’re doing, say, “I’m calling the book genie out!”
25. Bring a bottle of squirtable mouth freshener, and miss every time you try to spray it into your mouth. 26. Without looking away from your book, say to no one in particular, “I know what you did last summer.” 27. While reading your book, start humming a single note until you’re out of breath, then collapse on the floor. Then get back up, and continue reading like nothing happened. 28. Bring a recording of a popular song. Play it on headphones quietly, but sing along very badly. Then say to the person next to you, I took singing lessons! 29. Turn to the person sitting next to you and say to them, “Hey! How ya doin”? “That’s great, me too.” 30. While working at a laptop, suddenly stand up, and announce to every one, “I have mail!!” 31. Turn to the person next to you, and ask them to pronounce their name backwards. When they ask you why, tell them that you are looking for hidden messages. 32. State proudly that you have been to the ‘other’ side. Give no explanation. 33. Collapse on the floor. Then get up like nothing happened. When the person next to asks, are you alright, look at him/her with an inquiring look on your face, and say, “What do you mean?”
38. Run up to them with a book, thrust it under their nose and ask, “Will you sign my autograph?!?” Make sure you say MY. 39. Stick a ‘kick me’ sign on your back, and accuse them of putting it their. 40. Look up suddenly and yell, “Ohh no!” When they ask you what happened, say, “Nothing.” Then do it again. 41. Stare accusingly at the other person, and when they look at you, say, “Where were you on the night of February 32, 1989?!” 42. Glance over your shoulder every few seconds. 43. Maintain a look of horror constantly, but act normal other wise. 44. Say to him/her, “You have the right to remain silent!” Page 21 SPIRE www.spiremag.com.au

THE FACTS BEHIND THE CAR
HOW TO HANDLE BEING FIRED There’s a big difference between quitting a job and being told your services are no longer required. If the latter is the case, many questions will be going through your mind and you may be tempted to lash out at the one directly responsible for giving you the axe — notably, your boss. All of a sudden, the security of a regular paycheck no longer exists and it’s impossible to know when the next job will come along. This is a lot to absorb all at once. Here are some tips to help you get through this uncomfortable transition and retain some dignity at the same time.
Maintain a cordial relationship with your soon to be ex-boss and former colleagues. A good way to do this is to thank your boss for the opportunities that were presented to you in the company. If you feel uneasy about asking your boss to write a recommendation letter, there are several ways around this. Why not ask somebody else in the company with whom you had a friendly relationship? It may even be a supervisor you had more than five years ago. Also consider customers, distributors, suppliers, etc. It’s unlikely
that even if relations between you and the boss weren’t that rosy he or she would assess you negatively. You have rights. Just because you’re no longer with the company doesn’t mean there aren’t any benefits coming your way. You’ve worked hard and contributed to them through taxes, so don’t be shy when asking about what you’re entitled to. Speak to the human resources department about severance pay, sick leave, 401k benefits and so on. Now it’s time to take care of you emotionally. Take the time to relax
for a week and let the initial shock wear off. Spend time with friends, family or a good novel. Searching for work is a demanding job in itself and you can’t approach this challenge effectively until you’re feeling whole again. Network like there’s no tomorrow. Contact former co-workers to see what’s happening, join job search agencies and build a killer profile on job network sites. You could begin to feel that getting fired wasn’t so bad after all when a new employer wants to give you a bigger office with a view and your own personal secretary. One company’s loss will be another’s gain. By Scott Hayden
Page 31 SPIRE www.spiremag.com.au
You can ask why you have been fired. If you were never late and completed every assignment on time, what it may have boiled down to was a conflict in personality. Either you didn’t get it or your boss didn’t get you, but the good thing about this situation is that it may have given the push that you needed to move on to something better. Perhaps you were unhappy in this job, but were hesitant to leave. Now the decision has been made for you. You can reflect on this experience and at the very least have a clearer understanding of what your strengths and weaknesses are.
Interviewed by Elie for SPIRE Photos by Fotos4chicks/www.flickr.com/fotos4chicks Models Website: www.modelmayhem.com/themodellivia
SPIRE: What nationality are you? Livia: I represent Brazil all the way! SPIRE: What kind of clothing on a guy would catch your attention? Livia: I love a man who is suited. Nice shoes, three piece suit and well groomed. SPIRE: What would you wear to seduce a man? Livia: Since my body is extremely curvy, I like to dress conservatively to seduce the type of man that I like. Once he has passed the test, as you can see from my photos I can wear a few things to seduce a man. SPIRE: What does it feel like to have so many men want you? Livia: It makes me feel pride in myself, because it shows that my hard work has paid off. But I also don’t feel better than any other woman, because everyone has something hot about them. SPIRE: If a guy had 5 minutes to get your attention, what should he do? Livia: All he has to do is come correct. He just has to look professional, talk politely and be a nice guy. SPIRE: What do you have a weakness for? Livia: I can’t lie; Ice cream is my enemy (laughs). SPIRE: Which feature do you receive the most compliments on? Livia: Hips and Lips (laughs). SPIRE: How do you maintain that amazing body? Livia: I am a hard core gym person. I work out daily and put lots of pressure on myself to look good. Plus having the genetics didn’t hurt either. I have lots of beautiful people in my family. SPIRE: If you weren’t a model what would you be? Livia: Veterinarian. I love animals. SPIRE: Which celebrity would you like to spend 24 hours with and why? Livia: This is probably not they “sexy” answer but I’d like to spend 24hours with Nelson Mandela and pick his brain for all of the experiences that he has been through. I just love the fight in him and respect that he established many social organizations and stood for human rights. SPIRE: Where do you think men go wrong with women? Livia: This one is easy. Ummmm LYING (laughs). SPIRE: One bedroom tip for men? Livia: Be Confident and Carb Up!

Young Soulja aka. Brandon Leon was born on February 2nd, 1989 in Los Angeles, but raised in San Jose of Puerto Rican and African American decent. He started his career out at young age of 12 years old, introduced to (Dj A.O.N) who formerly use to DJ for the American New Jack Swing/R&B group called (Tony Tone Toni). Dj A.O.N seen the devotion, passion, and skill Young Soulja had at such an early age for music, and wanted to help him get more exposure in the music industry. DJ A.O.N featured Young Soulja on a series of his mixtapes to start building a buzz for the rapper. As much as Young Soulja loved music, he seen it more of a way to make some extra money in order to survive, getting on any mix tape possible, dropping verses on any dj’s project that gave him the opportunity to shine. His energy level and unique aggressively deep voice was admired by fans and on lookers. Behind the scenes, Young Soulja went through a lot of “Surviving” threw the “Struggle” moments in his life. (Family deaths, Family problems, Financial issues) and it seems any obstacle that has stumbled his way, he has persevered and overcame. Young Soulja has always been very dedicated and determined to becoming one of the best entertainers that the industries has ever witnessed. As a child he was heavily influenced to express himself and what he has been through, he expressed himself first through drawings, then poems, which lead to writing songs. Then he started recording them and that’s how his destiny all started. The origin behind the name Young Soulja is due to the on-going battle that he fights everyday in the struggle of life. Furthermore, with the background that only a soldier could withstand and all the situations that are set upon him, he has been included in and continuing to fight in the battle of poverty.
“When I look back on that album I realized that I had to come harder than that. I felt like I didn’t do my job, and I let my fans down.”
Interviewed by Elie
Young Soulja also attends San Jose State University, looking to further his education to better himself for the business side of the industry. Young Soulja defines the new school flavor of Club & Blues (Mixture between Club and R&B) every time he hits the stage, treating every show as if it was his last. His stage presence is not only demanding, but a sight to been seen unlike anything you have ever witnessed.
Young Soulja invented himself with his first independent solo album titled (Too Hot To Stop) in 2001. He is best known for his unique rap style and his deep aggressive/multi sounding voice. However, in this album, Young Soulja chooses not to use profanity at all. He was very unhappy with the results of his first album, due to the fact he wasn’t really experienced. It was his first album and the lyrics he felt didn’t represent the points which he intended. The album was very low budget. However this album was an experiment that sold a grip of copies, but Young Soulja was still unsatisfied with it.
So since then, Young Soulja has been stepping it up by writing, writing and writing more songs because practice makes perfect. That’s what drives him. One simple word… ”Perfection”. “I motivated myself to step it up lyrically, because if I ever want all my dreams and aspirations to come in my direction, I have to create music for people to feel and vibe to.” Then successfully Young Soulja flipped the script and started doing his thing, writing hit songs like (Shake Dat Bootee’, Are you really down?, Crazy for you), and many other songs for other people to use. “The more I kept practicing the better I got at it; also as I grew older I became wiser at my craft, which helped expand my writing styles.” Since people were feeling his lyrics, he knew he could be successful from the jump. He also wanted to try something new like composing beats. Young Soulja just start messing around with the MPC and different beat programs and came up with some platinum banging tracks like (The World Savage, We Hot Boys Remix, What I’m Going Through , Strictly Bout My Cash), and many more. These beats came out to be success per public response. From that day forward he knew that people were feeling his lyrics and his beats, so basically it was proven that he could be someone in this industry. He has been staying busy coming up with new ideas to expand and has been getting recognized more and more as the days and night pass. He has been featured on a lot of music DVD’s throughout the Bay and currently has ring tones available which are for sell on his “Myspace”. He keeps it pushing and is currently working on his own clothing line coming soon.
Page 39 SPIRE www.spiremag.com.au
Young Soulja has a unique sound of his own, but if you must compare him with some artist that have been in the industry, he definitely has the charisma like LL Cool J, the performing intensity of a young DMX , business mindset like P.Diddy and style of lyrics like no other.
Young Soulja is one of those special artists that only come around every once in a blue moon. He has been blessed with not only being a very talented song writer, but also known for his energetic flow and unpredictable lyrics and aggressive deep voice. Soulja represents pure energy on a level that even he can’t fully explain. “How the crowd reacts to me is like they are hypnotized,” says Soulja. “From my voice to my style and my music, people just react a certain way.” Love him or hate him you cannot forget him. Without the backing of a major label, Young Soulja has amassed a supportive fan base on the west coast rivaling any of his peers, signed or unsigned. It’s been a long time coming and he deserves the spotlight. Young Soulja has presented already two well known mixtapes (Tha Blocc Stars Vol 1 Stayin on the Grind Mixtape) and (Choppahz N Techz Vol 1 - Thugz Re-United) which was pretty successful in sales, however it has only been pushed throughout California. Then in 2009, Young Soulja connected with (Sabotage) to do a Street Album with DJ Ill Will (Which is one of the biggest DJ’s in Los Angeles right now , who works with Chris Brown, Bow Wow, Lil Wayne, Drake, and Ect) entitled (Well Connected) on 9/11/09, which the turnout of this street album was excellent and reached over a combined 1,000,000 downloads making his way all over DJ’s Webpools and 5,000 Street copies sold. The album expanded throughout California and other states and started catching ears from Record Companies and Major Recording Artist. The street album has exclusive features from (D-Lo) and with (R. Kelly. includes shoutouts from DJ Ill Will, (Ya Boy), and (40 Glocc) (G-Unit/ Infamous Records) on the album version. These mixtapes/ street albums were released independently through Young World Entertainment which is an independent Record label/ Promotion company formed by no one other Young Soulja. The label has been active since 2001, when he signed his first act Tha Blocc Stars.. Young Soulja’s Fan Base has grown tremendously over the years, with more than 1.3 million plays on MySpace. Its evident Young Soulja’s music is in demand and is
getting heard. Young Soulja has already performed at a variety of nightclubs and big venues in the Bay Area like: Shoreline Amphitheater (holds 22,000), Center of Performing Arts and Civic Auditorium (both Holds 3060) opening for artist such as (Ray J, Soulja Boy, Tyga of Young Money, Big Sean, Andre Nickatina, Tha Jacka, Big Rich, Clyde Carson, Bobby Brackins, Dem HoodStarz, and Kafani), and more building a big buzz out of northern California. Young Soulja typically sells out 250 tickets per show on an average of 3 shows a week. He has also been traveling all over California from Sacramento down to Los Angeles and cities in between doing shows. Young Soulja puts on an outstanding and exhilarating show and connects with audience due to his energy and passion for the stage. Young Soulja is a perfectionist and strives to be the best, and one day will become an icon in the industry. SPIRE: So much talent out there, how did you get noticed? Soulja: I started back in 2001 at the age of 12 years with (Dj A.O.N) (Art of noise) who formerly used to DJ (Tony Tone Toni). DJ A.O.N seen the devotion, passion, and skill I had at such an early age for music, and wanted to help me get some more exposure in the music industry. DJ A.O.N featured me on a series of his mixtapes to start building my first buzz as a rapper. However it wasn’t until working with DJ Ill Will (Which is one of the biggest DJ’s in Los Angeles right now , who works with Chris Brown, Bow Wow, Lil Wayne, Drake, and Ect) till I was recognized as a major recording artist , releasing my mixtape entitled (Well Connected) back in 2009. With him vouching for me I was recognized by a lot of other Big Name artist in the industry, Which then came my Exclusive Hit Song “2 The Hotel” Featuring R.Kelly. Other artist noticed that I was quite talented and came in contact with me as well. Since then, I have been doing a lot of big concerts, Festivals, Tours. I just recently opened up for Big Sean (Kayne West new artist on G.O.O.D music.) at a concert holding over 4,000 spectators in San Jose , CA. followed by traveling to Bakersfield , California with recording artist Big Rich to perform at Club Nile on March 19th and was played on the hip hop radio station Hot 94.1 FM.
SPIRE: How would you describe your sound? Soulja: Mainstream Club / R&B / Pop. SPIRE: What are the things that separate you from other artists out there? Soulja: I go the extra mile; I analyze every single song down to each lyric and snare. I compare my songs to what’s on the radio and ask myself “Is this better than theirs?”, and if it’s not, I cut it from the album, don’t release it or maybe give it out as an unreleased free download. I am in competition with Lil Wayne, Drake and Kanye West, so I have to make music that’s better, so when you see it sitting next to them at the record store, you will choose to buy my CD or if not both. I also am a really cool down to earth guy. I write back to everyone on my social networks unlike a lot of other artist. I establish that connection with my fans. The reason being is because without my fans I wouldn’t be who I am today with all their support and love shown. #TEAMYOUNGSOULJA SPIRE: Which other artists/groups have been your biggest influences to this point of your career? Soulja: Flo-rida – I love how he makes straight club hits and you can dance to all his music. I admire his work. Plies – for just being one of the realest recording artist from the streets, with his gangsta style even though his style is different than mine. I still like his style and swag. I listen to his songs on a daily basis. Michael Jackson – He was such a great performer and I admire the way he performed and gave his all at every show. R.I.P to MJ.
50 Cent - I admire his business mind set. He is such an intelligent guy, out of the things he accomplished, that’s what I want to do with my career plus more. I admire how he has such an entrepreneurial business mindset, having his own video games, doing movies, books, clothing line, condoms, having a deal with the water company, the 11 million records sold and I look to him as competition and my intentions is to do more than he has done and have success. SPIRE: You opened live with artist Ray J, tell us about that? Soulja: It was great, there were so many females at that show and they were Wild! No panties on, climbing up the stage trying to get in the V.I.P with us. IT WAS CRAZY! We had lots of security though that didn’t let it get too out of control. It was fun. Ray J did his thing. I did my thing. I had a chance to network with the Knockout Entertainment camp (Ray J’s Label) Shout out to the homie Shorty Mac. They are cool fam. SPIRE: Three words that describe your personal characteristic? Soulja: Sex symbol, confident, filled with charisma. SPIRE: If you had the opportunity to do a track with any living artist/group who would it be and why? Soulja: I would have to say 50 cent. 50 cent inspired me due to the fact how he puts on such a great show, and watching his videos of live performances on Youtube helped me become a better performer and helped me improve my stage presence. Plies- I think with my club and his gangsta southern style together would mess well, also I been listening to his before he actually was signed on a mainstream level. I respect his grind. Bobby Valentino- He’s one of my top favorite R&B artist, I would like to make a platinum radio hit with the dude. He got vocals and I used to bump “Slow Down” back in high school. That was my Jam! SPIRE: How did you come up with the name “Young Soulja”? Soulja: I actually came up with the name back in 2000 as a nickname before even doing music, when I was 11 years old, before there was a Soulja Boy or anything. I just want to clear it up so people don’t think that he inspired me in anyway. I made the name up because of the battle that I fight everyday to stay out of poverty. It’s a war and I’m on the front line. I’m Young and I’m a Soulja in this war. SPIRE: Growing up, what were some of the difficulties you faced? Soulja: A lot of “Surviving” threw the “Struggle” moments in my life. (Family Deaths, Family problems, Financial Issues, Gang Affiliation). Growing up being broke, motivated me to work hard to have the things that the rich folks had.

SPIRE: Congratulations on your new single, “Shake It”, hot track, how was the making of the song? Soulja: Thank you, It was great. It’s an experience about a session with a belly dancer, private lap dances and all that (laughs), I linked up Recording Artist Royalty who is also known on Radio for his songs (“Girl Girl” ,“Brown Eye Girl”) who is the featured artist on “Shake It.” I also have a “Shake It Remix” soon to come featuring Recording Artist/ Activist Supanova Slom who is pretty well known on the east coast. This is actually one of my new radio singles coming off of my new Club / R&B album “For All Its Worth” which I am still working on. This album is going to be filled with straight Club and R&B hits, the point is I want every song to be something the ladies could either dance to or definitely vibe to. My target audience is dominantly Females, so that’s who I cater to in my music and the men follow the females. So in the end, I end up getting everybody. I want a fan to be able to pop this album in and listen to it from the beginning to the end, instead of skipping songs like people do to a lot of half ass artist, who just throw songs on the album as fillers. I put a lot of work into every individual song, so that I give you what you pay for, something that could always be played at a party or club like Montell Jordan, “ This Is How We Do It” which still gets played in the clubs in 2011 and the record was made in 1995. I am working on making an album full of classics like that.
SPIRE: Would you say music saved you from the life of violence or crime? Soulja: Yes I would, if it wasn’t for music I most likely would be hanging out with the same thugs, doing the same work that would land me in either jail or dead right now. I thank the lord above that I was giving such a unique talent that changed my lifestyle. SPIRE: Who are some of the people who have helped you get to this point? Soulja: God, and most important would have to say myself and my fans! People who believed in me from the gate and have been supporting me ever since. #TEAMYOUNGSOULJA. They are solid. Cherry Loczta which is one of the artists I work with. She helped me and inspired me to continue doing what I am doing. And last but not least all the haters that said it would never happen! (laughs) I’m laughing at ya’ll now. SPIRE: We heard you were in a new movie coming out with Ja Rule? Soulja: Yea, Ja is a cool guy. He was the lead actor in a new movie called “I’m In Love with A Church Girl” I had a great time on the set. I got a chance to finally meet Ja Rule after all these years of listening to his music. He joked around and had a good time on the set. I got to network with him and I keep messing with him saying “itssss muurrrrrrdaaaa” and I would throw it up. That’s the dude right there. Shout out to the big homie Ja Rule. I was just an extra in the movie, I pass by Ja a few times and you see me a lot at the concert seen in the movie. Make Sure to go see “I’m In Love with A Church Girl” coming to theaters soon! SPIRE: What can people expect to see from Young Soulja in the future? Soulja: You could definitely expect to see more of me on a mainstream level. I am looking forward to working with a lot more Big Names; I established a lot of important contacts that could put me in higher places in the industry. I have a lot in store for ya’ll. I have a lot of concert, tours, and appearances coming up. SO WATCH OUT FOR ME!! YOU WILL SEE ME ON YOUR T.V. SCREEN. REMEMBER THE FACE (smiles). I also have the Highly Anticipated new Album which is going to be a problem for the other artists in the music industry. The album is entitled “For All Its Worth” Coming Soon. SPIRE: Why did you choose to entitle it “For All Its Worth”, is there a meaning behind it? Soulja: The reason why I decided to call the Album “For All Its Worth” is because this is me giving all I got to offer to the music industry in this album. Meaning this is the best of the best stuff that I have ever created in my whole career as an artist. I don’t believe that before I was ready. But now is my time, MY TIME IS NOW! SPIRE: Are you doing all this independently or
are you signed to a Major Label? Soulja: I am currently doing this all independently, a lot of artists are. Ray J went independent with Knockout Entertainment and a lot of artists which are signed to E1 Entertainment (Jim Jones, Slim Thug, Cassidy) are as well. I founded my own label Young World Entertainment and currently in the process of choosing which major label I am going to complete the paper work with. Remember the face you will see more of it guaranteed. SPIRE: What happened with your record deal with Universal Republic? Soulja: I was contacted by A&R Vince Palaowski, who was interested in signing me and noticed that I was the full package. He was actually on his vacation when he stumbling on discovering me. We went back and forth with calls and emails. Planned a day for a meeting and it was going to be the big day. When I called the number to speak with him, and the company announced he was no longer with the company for an undisclosed reason. It was such a heartbreak to be that close and have the opportunity snatched from my sight. Now I just look back on it as motivation to try harder and I believe all things happen for a reason, so I must have something bigger in store. SPIRE: Is there anything you would like to tell labels or promoters who are interested in booking you or checking out your EPK? Soulja: Please contact my management email for more information at Submissions4youngsoulja@gmail.com ((Serious inquires only!)) SPIRE: Where can people learn and hear more about you? Soulja: I keep these sites up to date and write back to all my fans on these sites. MMA SPORTS: How is the expectation for the fight? Already back in training? JDS: I'm back to Brazil, I am in Salvador. This fight is very important to my life. I will prepare myself to win and prove that I am a contender for the belt. Now I have to focus on Brock Lesnar, in my training, and stay healthy to reach 100% in the fight to develop my full potential. MMA SPORTS: How was the experience of recording The Ultimate Fighter and being one of the coaches? JDS: It was a very good experience, learned a lot with the staff. It is really a reality show, the whole day filming, it was something different for me. At first I was quite nervous, even through my difficulty with English, have to think everything in English. But I am adapting over time. Thank God everything went well, things were flowing well and then I was feeling good inside the house. It was a great experience and a great challenge. MMA SPORTS: What did you think of the level of athletes in the house? JDS: It was pretty interesting. Most athletes had already had MMA fights, were already fighters, and the level was good. The guys were all nice people, everyone got along. MMA SPORTS: When your friend and training partner, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, was the coach, there was a great atmosphere of unity among the athletes of his team, this is normal among Brazilian teams. Was that the case in your team? JDS: I had never been a coach, but I tried to do something like what we do in our team, Team Nogueira. I tried to make cool training, the people will see when they watch the show on TV, but I tried to engage with staff, and dedicated myself to doing everything the right way.
MMA SPORTS: And how was it coaching opposite Brock Lesnar? JDS: Brock is a cool guy, very serious, intelligent. We do not mix much, but the little relation that we had, he showed me that he is a cool guy. MMA SPORTS: And what do you expect the popularity will do for you as being the coach of The Ultimate Fighter? JDS: I'm a very quiet guy. I think that will be great, the staff came to me, including the staff of the UFC, and asked if I know what will be the impact, the dimension of this to my life. I think it will be good, we have what we deserve, I hope to be deserving of good things. Fighting is my life and be recognized throughout the world will be great, I will definitely make a lot of fights and hopefully one day, I’ll be a great name, as is Anderson, Minotauro, among others. MMA SPORTS: And do you still think about Velasquez? Prior to this, he was your focus, but eventually changed to Lesnar. JDS: Velasquez was in the past, and then will be the future again (laughs). For a while I’m not thinking about him, he left the firing line for me, for now. The focus now is Lesnar, to do a good job and win. I have to get well in the fight, and do the good work that we do in training. MMA SPORTS: Finally, what can fans expect of this season of The Ultimate Fighter? JDS: The fans will like it, cannot lose, you have to watch. It's very exciting, very different from other seasons, that's for sure. Shows more of the face of MMA today, that is no longer as in the past, it was just that thing of being a tough guy and such. Today the guys training to be clever in fighting, this season will show that. It will be very interesting, will have plenty of cool stuff going on. If I could advance something, I would do it. I'm even biting myself not to talk. I have to be quiet because the penalty is high (laughs).

SPIRE: What kind of clothing on a guy would catch your attention? Deanna: A nice track suit.
SPIRE: The most important thing a guy must have? Deanna: (laughs) A tolerance to peanut "budder".
SPIRE: If a guy had 5 minutes to get your attention, what should he do? Deanna: By being himself. By being honest and genuine.
SPIRE: How do you maintain that amazing body? Deanna: I maintain a healthy lifestyle which includes clean eating (or rather, smart choices) and exercise. I workout 5 days a week with weights and I try to squeeze in some cardio when I can (shh, I get lazy sometimes).
SPIRE: What do you have a weakness for? Deanna: FOOD!! But the bad kind though... like pizza, fries, ice cream, cake and the very yummy frosting that goes on the cake..
SPIRE: What’s your sexiest feature? Deanna: Maybe my eyes.
SPIRE: One thing you can’t live without and why? Deanna: Hmm, this is a tough question... because its a tie between my laptop, which I use to keep up with emails and more modeling gigs, and peanut butter. People that know me, know that I LOVE peanut butter and I will and can eat it with everything. Have you tried ice cream and peanut butter? Yum, try it and let me know how it goes.
SPIRE: Which feature do you receive the most compliments on? Deanna: Hmm, I think that would be my bum. SPIRE: One bedroom tip for men? Deanna: (laughs) Take your time gentlemen! And we need more passion and romance.• There's no need to rush, you have a beautiful woman in front of you, now take your time and enjoy her.

Normally those who attack established ideas and customs via opinions and writings are ostracized and sidelined – the more spiritually minded and divinely-lofted individuals can testify to this. Iconoclastic views exist to shed a new limelight on many demotic views engendered within society, not lest spiritual, sociological and criminological viewpoints. So step forward one of histories and sociologies most thought-provoking and widely read figures Emile Durkheim. Crime is a good thing for society! Crime is necessary! Crime has its benefits! Without crime our environment and societal values will erode and stagnate! Extreme iconoclasm or simply a pitiful attempt to play Devils Advocate? Not so according to the aforementioned Emile Durkheim. Born in 1858, Emile Durkheim’s work was influential in shifting analysis of criminality away from sources rooted in the individual towards sources that were more socio-cultural in nature. The Frenchman categorized societies in three ways: ‘healthy’, ‘unhealthy’, or ‘pathological’. The categories enabled a scientifically-orientated Durkheim to apply the principles of Social Darwinism to show the evolutionary means in which society develops. Applying these social Darwinistic principles to his work, Durkheim believed that just as animals and plants adapt to suit changing circumstances over periods of time, so human societies, as they evolve, have the potential to adapt by developing appropriate social institutions. Durkheim’s basic argument was that societies that did adapt in this way to social change would, in his words, be ‘healthy’; whilst those that did not were, ‘pathological’. Of course the only way a society can adapt and evolve is through crime so said Durkheim! Crime serves to challenge those ordinary views held in society. Crime
aids in testing the boundaries in which the ‘rules’ in society can be tested – or, as Durkheim himself put it, the ‘collective conscience’ permeating throughout society. Seeking to develop the argument, Durkheim even suggested that it is futile to attempt to eradicate crime through legislation and penal means! The inevitability of crime is only matched by its necessity. Quite simply, crime is a social fact. Ditto, even in a society composed entirely of saints and ‘Heavenly Gods’, there would still be crime as the exceptionally high moral standards enshrined would mean that the tinniest transgression would amount to rule-breaking, hence, the inevitability of crime. Not worried yet? Well, seeking to reaffirm his convictions, Durkheim admonished that crime is necessary because it is functionally useful in helping to maintain a ‘healthy society’. This is done through what he called ‘adaption’ and ‘boundary maintenance’. Durkheim defined that adaptive function of crime as inimical in introducing fresh ideas and concepts into society to prevent it from stagnating. Too much Communist-like conformity coupled with too little crime was bad he argued. On the other hand, Durkheim saw crime as reaffirming boundaries within society. Through things such as media reporting, gossiping and denunciation, the average members of society reaffirm the exact boundaries between what is considered ‘good’ and ‘bad’ behaviour. According to Durkheim, the collective nature of these responses promotes social solidarity as long as they are upheld within reason. Examples would include Anti-Terrorist legislation and the Human Rights Act. For Durkheim it is better to scientifically build on the existence of crime as opposed to shun, denounce and sweep away crime. Ever the iconoclast, critics deem it too easy for Durkheim to sit in his room postulating the idea about the necessity and inevitability about crime. Crime is good? Many shall disagree, however, what ought to be taken into consideration is the often benign and propitious elements pertaining to iconoclasm – if upheld with wisdom and intelligence.

Iconoclasm is defined in the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English as those views portrayed by an iconoclast.

Whilst it is true that the majority of sufferers are indeed female, it is becoming increasingly evident that men too are at increasing risk of developing an eating disorder. The most common statistic that, of the 8 million Americans who suffer from an eating disorder 1 million are men, would appear to be an underestimation. A recent study by the National Health Service suggested that as many as 25% of sufferers may be men. D Blake Woodside MD of the department of psychiatry at Toronto University believes that this variance of reported incidences of eating disorders is due to a number of factors including men’s’ embarrassment at getting help for something that they may see as a ‘weak’ and ‘woman’s’ disease, therefore preventing them from coming forward for help. The lack of education about eating disorders in men may also prevent some men from realising they have a problem in the first place. This is a worrying situation as, of all the mental illnesses; eating disorders have the highest rate of fatalities. Left untreated, they can spiral out of control and destroy, or even end, lives. Types of Eating Disorder Men Suffer From The types of eating disorder that men suffer from are basically the same as women, though often the reasons and manifestations are slightly different. Anorexia, bulimia and muscle dysmorphia or, to give it the lay mans term‘Bigorexia’ are the main types of problems that men may encounter. Anorexia is characterised as an obsessive need to rid the body of any fat. This is usually achieved by starvation, complete control and an extreme and damaging exercise regime. For men this is usually because they view fat on themselves as weak and unmanly, and have a distorted body image as well as very low self esteem. One of the problems with male anorexia, that can make it potentially more damaging than female anorexia, is that men often lose all body fat whilst keeping muscle, making it harder to see that men are at a dangerously low body weight. Male bulimics usually follow the same pattern as their female counterparts in that they will binge on huge amounts of food and then make themselves sick, or take excessive amounts of laxatives. Bulimia is hard to spot
by Catherine Monk
as body weight is usually normal, though it can cause untold damage internally. ‘Bigorexia’ or to give it the medical term, ‘muscle dysmorphia’ is an eating disorder that is found nearly exclusively in men. It means that a sufferer has an unrealistic view of their body and their aim in life is to develop muscles that are impossible to achieve without the heavy use of steroids. Causes and Effects of Eating Disorders The search for the ‘body beautiful’ in the media is no longer confined to a female audience. The media images of toned and, often photo shopped, muscle bound men give men the same unrealistic images to live up too that women have had for years. Other causes of eating disorders are often as the result of some type of abuse, whether emotional, physical or sexual during childhood and the later developmental years. There is a strong correlation between teenagers and adults developing eating disorders when they have over demanding, perfectionist parents. A continuing theme in the development of these illnesses is also a very low self esteem, and often a need to ‘control’ something in their life where people may feel that they have not had control over their lives in the past. The effects of an eating disorder can be devastating, emotionally, physically and psychologically. Anorexia can cause stunted growth in young male sufferers along with constipation, low blood pressure, bloating, hair loss and a loss of bone and muscle mass which can, eventually, lead to osteoporosis. In particularly serious cases organs can begin to fail and anorexia can be fatal. Sufferers will typically suffer from mood swings and may experience the notion of an ’inner voice’ telling them that they are unworthy, fat and ugly. The constant cycle of binging and purging involved in bulimia causes throat and tooth problems due to the acid constantly being washed around the mouth through vomit. Sufferers may have a red face due to distorted salivary glands. Sufferers may also have a
lack of interest in sex and are at a much higher risk of heart problems and other internal damage, due to the strain placed on the body by the illness ‘Bigorexia’ often involves the use of steroids as this is the only way that it is possible to attain the unrealistic muscle bound body that sufferers of this syndrome want. A worrying study of 1000 men, carried out by the British department of health has shown that 50% would consider chest implants to improve their pectoral muscles. The use of steroids to achieve this ideal is extremely dangerous. They have side effects that are irreversible and can cause long term liver and heart damage, as well as causing severe, and aggressive, mood swings. One only has to look at the world of wrestling to see that fatalities due to long term steroid abuse are not unusual. Getting Help and Getting Well One of the hardest things for any man is asking for help for a condition that they are ashamed, or embarrassed about. But getting help is essential; left untreated eating disorders can, and do, kill. Telling someone, whether they are a close friend or family member is often the first step, going to the doctor is the second. Treatments range from medical intervention to talking therapies to break the cycle and address the underlying issues that have caused the problem in the first place. People who are in immediate medical danger may be hospitalised in order to get their body weight up to a non life threatening level. This is often a complex process and can, if necessary, be done against a persons will under the mental health law. It is far less painful and effective to get help before the problem has gone this far. Recovery is a long road, but it can be done, with the right help and support. People should always remember, whether the sufferer is male or female, that an eating disorder is NOT a sign of weakness, it is an illness. Asking for help is the bravest thing a person can do, and could be the start of a new life.

Commit a few fun dating conversation starter ideas to memory. Use these open-ended questions to fill a lull in the conversation.
First date conversation should be light and natural, not stressful. Even the shy and timid can make a great first impression and have fun dating new people with the right conversation starter. Learn more on a first date and avoid dead-ends with these comfortable conversation topics. Five Safe First Date Conversation Topics
Page 74 SPIRE www.spiremag.com.au
The goal on a first date is to learn about the other person and decide if there is enough interest, common ground, or spark to want to learn more! These five topics lead to open conversation without running the risk of becoming too personal on the first date. Kick off the conversation by asking open-ended questions that can't be answered with a simple yes or no. 1. Common Ground- A shared gym, walking trail, favorite coffee shop, or mutual friend are all great conversation topics. Keep it positive and see where it goes. 2. Food and Drink- Discussing favorite foods is a safe, easy way to keep the conversation going. Avoid too much talk about alcoholic drinks until it is clearly a safe topic. 3. Hobbies and Interests- Reading, sports, TV shows, board games, collections, music, and spare time activities can lead to interesting conversations. 4. The Surrounding Area- Fill in awkward gaps in conversation by observing the surroundings and chatting about an interesting article of clothing someone is wearing, a magazine lying on a table, or whatever else is at hand. 5. Travel or Other Adventures- Even if they haven't traveled, most people have a place or two they would like to visit in their lifetime. Actively listen and participate in the conversation, watching for verbal or non-verbal clues that it is time to try a new topic. If a date ever appears uncomfortable, fidgety, or bored, move on!
1. Have You Ever?- Ask a date if they have ever gone hang gliding, burnt an important meal, accomplished a goal, read a really inspirational book, or anything else that comes to mind. This is a great way to start an interesting conversation and learn more about a date! 2. Best/Worst?- Keep the topic neutral and ask their opinion on the best and worst current music albums, new movie releases, bestselling books, or any other common interest. 3. Hypothetically Speaking- Hypothetical questions can be great conversation starters. Try, "If you could have any job..." "If you could retire tomorrow..." or "If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you go?" Don't worry if a conversation starter doesn't lead to a lengthy chat. Just move on to a new topic! How to Avoid a First Date Conversation Killer The following topics can lead to heated opinions, hurt feelings, or sheer boredom. Avoid these conversation topics on a first date. • Creepy/scary subjects • Ex-partners • Health problems • How much something (a job, a boss, a parent, an apartment) sucks • Me, me, me • Politics • Religion • Sex Have Fun Dating and Chatting with Appropriate Conversation Topics The beauty of dating new people is that each person has something different to offer. The art of conversation requires careful listening and full attention; lead the conversation only as much as is necessary, then sit back and enjoy learning something new!
How can words begin to describe the beautiful TNA Knockout Velvet Sky... so I won’t attempt to. I’m just going to let the pictures speak for themselves... Enjoy.
Interview by Elie Photos courtesy of Lee South/TNAwrestling.com
SPIRE: What’s it like being a TNA Knockout? Velvet: It’s actually an honour to be a TNA Knockout. We get to have so many great experiences. First and foremost, on the road. We get to travel all over the United States and all over the world. I’ve been to more places in this world being a TNA Knockout that I would have ever imagined just being a plane Jane working an everyday 9-5 job kind of girl. I’m really blessed and I’m really lucky to have had this opportunity thus far and I’m just looking forward to the future. We have a great group of girls here and everybody brings something new to the table each time. Everybody is always on their A game. Being a TNA Knockout is pretty cool. SPIRE: If you could take on any fighter or celebrity in a pro-wrestling match, who would it be and why? Velvet: Eminem, for obvious reasons! I don’t believe I need to dwell here any more. Just use your imagination! SPIRE: What’s a typical day for you on the job when you wake up? Velvet: When I’m on the road I don’t like to work out at all. I know I don’t really work out regularly, but I don’t want to put any extra stress or strain on my body. I’m gonna be in the ring taking bumps, falling, getting hit, getting kicked, and getting punched. I feel like I need to take care of my body and rest it when I’m not in the ring. I try to sleep as much as I can so that I’m rested when I get in the ring. So I wake up, get ready, drive to the show, and wrestle. And of course eat! SPIRE: Describe yourself in one sentence? Velvet: One sentence? That’s all I have?! I am witty, I’m pretty humorous, I can be your best friend or your worst enemy and I suggest it be the best friend because you don’t want to see me mad! SPIRE: What do you have a weakness for? Velvet: I’m not gonna lie. Food! I’m of Polish heritage and we love to eat! We have big family gatherings all the time with lots and lots of food so I come by it honestly! Food owns me, no one else does!
SPIRE: So what do you do in your free time? Velvet: Sleep! Our schedule on the road is so demanding. Sometimes we’re at TNA for 12 hours or more! So when I’m home I take advantage of my couch and my bed! I spend time with my family and my cats that I hardly see. I chill out on the couch, turn on my DVR and catch up on all my shows. I’m a huge American Idol fan! I love it! We see so many places and so many people that when we’re home its vacation and relaxation time. SPIRE: You’ve got an incredible figure and you’ve gotta be in tip top shape for what you do, what’s your fitness routine consist of? Velvet: This is actually the million dollar question. I have more people ask me this than anything. I’m going to be completely honest here, and you can print this or not print this, but I actually do not have a fitness routine at all. I never have. I have a gym membership but that’s just to keep up on my cardio or if I feel like toning up here and there when I’m home. I don’t ever go to the gym on the road. It’s pretty much a waste of money because I have it but I hardly use it. It’s just my metabolism and my good family genes that I have! I can thank my parents for that! And I eat like there’s no tomorrow. SPIRE: What are your turn offs? Velvet: My turn offs are people who have huge egos, especially guys. There’s nothing worse than a beautiful man, in every sense of the word, that ruins it when he opens his mouth. I don’t care how hot a guy is, if he has a bad attitude it’s a turn off. SPIRE: What’s the perfect date if someone was to take you out? Velvet: The perfect date for me would be for a guy to take me to a Yankee game, complete with hot dogs and beer! And we better have good seats too! SPIRE: If a guy had 5 minutes to get your attention, what should he do? Velvet: He should cook for me. And it better taste good! I am a huge food fan. The way to my heart is definitely through my stomach!
SPIRE: What 3 things can’t you live without? Velvet: Food, my cats and my family. SPIRE: If you weren’t in pro-wrestling what would you be doing? Velvet: Believe it or not I have a degree in Culinary Arts. So I love to cook. I cook when I’m home. I think that if I wasn’t a pro-wrestler I would be a chef of some sort. Either that or an animal care specialist because I LOVE animals. I would work with animals that had been rescued and help fix them up and find them homes. That kind of stuff is really special to me. SPIRE: What is the weirdest thing that ever happened to you? Velvet: My life is weird! I don’t live a normal life. I really don’t have one particular instance of a weird thing that’s happened to me. My life in a nutshell is just weird. There’s never a dull moment in my life. But I like being weird. It’s the normal people that scare me! SPIRE: Who would you like to be for a day? Velvet: Honestly, I’m completely happy with myself and I don’t wish to be anyone else or anything else. I am me and I live my life to the fullest. I am living my dream. I am proud of who I am and what I’ve accomplished thus far. I am proud of myself for what I will accomplish in the future. I think you should never ever wish to be someone else. That’s the number one rule with me. Just be yourself and be happy with who you are and what you have everyday. SPIRE: What can fans expect to see from Velvet Sky in the future? Velvet: More action! And of course another reign with the Knockout title! SPIRE: Where can fans see more of you? Velvet: I’ve never jumped on the twitter bandwagon, I don’t “toot”. I don’t have facebook. I have myspace still. I’m completely old school. You can find me at www.myspace.com/talia_doll or at my official website www.skysohigh.net. And obviously at www.tnawrestling.com!

SPIRE: The most important thing a guy must have? Belle: The most important thing a guy must have most definitely has to be a sense of humor. You really have to be able to keep that smile on my face.
SPIRE: Where should a guy take you on a first date? Joselyn: A nice place where we can talk and get to know each other.
Interviews by Elie for SPIRE
SPIRE: What shouldn’t a guy do on the first date? Natalia: Talk about his past relationships.
SPIRE: What do you look for in a guy? Christine: Honesty and integrity. If a man talks bad about his mother, then he probably doesn’t have a very good sense of respect for women at all.

SPIRE: One bedroom tip for men? Mya: Don’t go so fast when you’re excited… slow down and be more sensual and romantic.
Interviews by Elie for SPIRE
SPIRE: After the first date, how long after should the guy call you? (same night, next day, one week). Nikki: I think you should go with your gut… there’s nothing wrong with calling the same night or next day to say you had a great time.
SPIRE: End of the First date, what should a guy expect? Torie: Depends how it went! A nice date should end in a kiss. Anything else makes it a great date!

JOKES GENIE IN A BOTTLE A man is walking down the beach and comes across an old bottle. He picks it up, pulls out the cork and out pops a genie. The genie says "Thank you for freeing me from the bottle. In return I will grant you three wishes." The man says "Great. I always dreamed of this and I know exactly what I want. First, I want 1 Billion dollars in a Swiss bank account." Phoof! There is a flash of light and a piece of paper with account numbers appears in his hand.
THE FIRST TIME The bride tells her husband, "Honey, you know I'm a virgin and I don't know anything about sex. Can you explain it to me first?" "OK, Sweetheart. Putting it simply, we will call your private place 'the prison' and call my private thing 'the prisoner'. So what we do is: put the prisoner in the prison. And then they made love for the first time. Afterwards, the guy is lying face up on the bed, smiling with satisfaction. Nudging him, his bride giggles, "Honey the prisoner seems to have escaped."
Turning on his side, he smiles. "Then we will have to re-imprison him."
He continues, "Next, I want a brand new red Ferrari right here."
After the second time they spent, the guy reaches for his cigarettes but the girl, thoroughly enjoying the new experience of making love, gives hima suggestive smile, "Honey, the prisoner is out again!"
Phoof! There is a flash of light and a bright red brand-new Ferrari appears right next to him.
The man rises to the occasion, but with the unsteady legs of a recently born foal.
Phoof! There is a flash of light and he turns into a box of chocolates.
Afterwards, he lays back on the bed, totally exhausted. She nudges him and says, "Honey, the prisoner escaped again." Limply turning his head, He YELLS at her, "Hey, its not a life sentence, OKAY!
BIRTHDAY PRESENT A wife decides to take her husband to a strip club for his birthday. Page 94 SPIRE www.spiremag.com.au
He continues, "Finally, I want to be irresistible to women."
They arrive at the club and the doorman says, "Hey, Dave! How ya doin'?" His wife is puzzled and asks if he's been to this club before. "Oh, no," says Dave. "He's on my bowling team." When they are seated, a waitress asks Dave if he'd like his usual and brings over a Budweiser. His wife is becoming increasingly uncomfortable and says,"How did she know that you drink Budweiser?" "She's in the Ladies' Bowling League,
honey. We share lanes with them." A stripper then comes over to their table, throws her arms around Dave, and says "Hi Davey. Want your usual table dance, big boy?" Dave's wife, now furious, grabs her purse and storms out of the club. Dave follows and spots her getting into a cab. Before she can slam the door, he jumps in beside her. He tries desperately to explain how the stripper must have mistaken him for someone else, but his wife is having none of it. She is screaming at him at the top of her lungs, calling him every name in the book. The cabby turns his head and says, "Looks like you picked up a real bitch tonight, Dave."
POOR GUY A man escapes from prison where he has been for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns and finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair, while tying the girl to the bed he gets on top of her, kisses her neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom. While he's in there, the husband tells his wife: "Listen, this guy's an escaped convict, look at his clothes! He probably spent
Two women friends had gone out for a Girls Night Out, and had been decidedly overenthusiastic on the cocktails. Incredibly drunk and walking home they suddenly realized they both needed to pee. They were very near a graveyard and one of them suggested they do their business behind a headstone or something. The first woman had nothing to wipe with so she took off her panties, used them and threw them away. Her friend however was wearing an expensive underwear set and didn't want to ruin hers, but was lucky enough to salvage a large ribbon from a wreath that was on a grave and proceeded to wipe herself with it. After finishing, they made their way home. The next day the first woman's husband phones the other husband and said, "These damn girls nights out have got to stop. My wife came home last night without her panties." "That's nothing," said the other. "Mine came back with a sympathy card stuck between the cheeks of her butt that said, 'From all of us at the Fire Station, We’ll never forget you!'
To which his wife responds: "He wasn't kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked me if we had any vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom. Be strong honey. I love you too!!"
ON THE SCALES A husband buys his wife a car for Christmas ... "I don't like it" she says, "I want something that goes from 0-140 in 3 seconds." So he comes back with a set of bathroom scales and says, "stand on that you fat fucker!"
LADIES ROOM One night a man was getting very drunk in a pub. He staggered back to take a piss, whipping his prick out as he went in the door. However, he had wandered into the ladies room by mistake, surprising a woman sitting on the can, "This is for ladies!" she screamed. The drunk waved his prick at her and said "So is this!"
SCREW THE WIFE A man rings his boss and says, I’m sick I can’t come to work today. The Boss says, "when I am sick, I screw my wife, try that?" Two hours later the man rings back and says, "I’m better now, you got a nice house!"

lots of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck." If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain, do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is probably very dangerous. If he gets angry, he'll kill us. Be strong, honey. I love you."
by Soraya M. Garcia Knowing how to decode someone's body language can actually be more important than listening to what a person is actually saying. "A penny for your thoughts" - Knowing what someone else is really thinking and feeling is far more valuable than that. Situations like flirting, job interviews or meeting someone for the first time would be much easier if one actually knew a bit more about the other party's intentions. Many scientists claim that more than 70% of our entire communication is expressed physically. While mind-reading is something that only works with dedicated mentalists, the field of body language has been studied extensively; there are easy ways to decode body language and to be more aware of one's own signs and signals.
When out on a date, the other party should not excessively blink - which is an indication for lying nor let their eyes wander across the room too often - if both these signals apply, the person is not interested in you and whatever you are saying, especially if those eyes are fixated on the waiter/ waitress more often than required. Cowboy position: The so-called "Cowboy" position is mostly solely used by males and is displayed when a male is physically interested in a female. Standing with his feet more than shoulder-wide apart, this guy is trying to look bigger than he is, which is sometimes accompanied by stretching the back when standing in order to look taller or putting his hand on his hips.
Page 96 SPIRE www.spiremag.com.au
Insecurity: A person displaying this body language is either feeling cold physically, or they are creating a barrier between them and what (and who!) is going on around them. Often times, this also means that someone is withdrawing internally to over-think a situation or a topic. Touching one's own neck: Often used by females, this subtle gesture implies that the other party is invited to come closer; this signal is less than formal and mostly applies to flirting. Wandering eyes:
Insecurity is shown in a variety of signals. The person may be scratching themselves many times during the conversation, blinking too much, laughing too loudly or not at all and/or may be avoiding eye contact as well as sitting stiffly or with no real posture at all. Their hands may be hidden in their pockets or under the table. Another important communication tool is the tone of voice: While a shaky, low voice may imply fear or shyness, a firm yet not overpowering tone shows that the person is relaxed and confident, given that further indications for this are present.
