A fianco della chiesa è ancora oggi attivo il monastero, con un bel chiostro interno e un laboratorio di prodotti officinali. A seguire la città di Tolentino, con la Basilica di San Nicola da Tolentino che si propone al visitatore con la sua maestosa facciata in pietra bianca d’Istria e i superbi affreschi trecenteschi del Cappellone di S. Nicola, nella cui cripta riposano le spoglie del Santo. All’interno del santuario si trova un interessantissimo e ricco Museo degli Ex Voto, con dipinti ed ex voto realizzati tra il XV e il XIX secolo per ringraziare S. Nicola, tradizionalmente noto per le sue straordinarie capacità taumaturgiche.
