We would like to dedicate this, our college yearbook, to children. First of all to the children of the New Ulm area whom we know so well through observing, tutoring, and student teaching and secondly to the children out there somewhere who will someday be our stu路 dents. This yearbook is for them with the hope that they will never go unappreciated.

I believe the children are the future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty 1hey possess inside, Then give them a sense of pride To make it easier. Then lei the children's laughter remind us Of how we used to be.

Snow Carnival

Some may think that DMLC is lull of music, but during Snow Carnival we were engulfed more than usual in the "Sounds of Music.'' This theme was well carried out in the snow sculptures, class skits, and entertainment. Unfortunately, Queen Beth Schibbelhut had no conference basketball game to preside over because of the snow. Rather, I he campus wa• rrea1ed to an intersquad game complete with routines by Colorguard and Pom-Pons. Snow Carnival '62 will be long remembered for its unique traits.

This was the story of young and naive Lili {Beth Schibbelhut) who comes to Schlegel's Imperial Cirque to find a job. There she becomes the rope in a tug-of-war between the suave magici;in Marco Uason Muench) and the crippled puppeteer Paul (Kurt Rosenbaum). Lili, although infatuated with Marco, much to the disgust of Marco's mistress Rosalie (Lisa Jeske), makes Paul's and Jacquot's (Keith Schroeder) puppet show a success. True love, of course, wins out as Lili finds happiness with Paul. Anne Demsien directed the show to its tremendous success. Laurie Miller was the pro-

WHAT IS IT?

It is theatre! EXCITEMENT! Enter-

tainment! And an intimate sharing of literature, sharing between an audience and the reader! That's what Reader's Theatre is all about. And on lanuary 31, 1982, the five readers showed the audience just that. The cast member's tulie Willitz, Pam Eisinger, Sue Benzel, Karie Watcke, and Deb Lightfuss presented material to the theme of "Communication links." The Performance was very well done and all who contributed should be commended.

These hardworking girls sure add a lot of pep to the crowds at games and do a great job supponong our lancer teams. The" work doesn't stop after games. either The cheerleaders plan all those fun and exciting things that we get to do at pep rallies. They make posters for the gym walls during basketball season. lnlramurals give every s1udent a chance to compete in quire a number of different sporu. ric路 lured here are mostly volleyball snapshots, but women's intramurals provides for participation in softball, basketball, badminton, and tennis, 100. The best thing about intramurals is taking a break from all the menial activity and working up a good swear over something fun. It's so relaxing and the c:ompo:1i1ion is fun. The officers of the Women's lniramural Spons Association for the 1981-1981 school year put a lot of work inlo 1he program to make it work for the rest.
