Paris, Beijing, Rome, New York… The cities we live in and their frenetic pace influence the way we think and dress.
Fashion designers are constantly inspired by the pace of the city and the excitement of its streets to create their collections, a reflection which was especially present on the catwalks for Spring-Summer 2017. Nicolas Ghesquière at Louis Vuitton showed a timeless Parisienne with an 80s edge in the house’s new address on the Place Vendôme. Tommy Hilfiger expressed his all-American style through a see-now buy-now extravaganza on New York’s piers. In this issue, we showcase this urban edge alongside the new romantic femininity which was also evident in the collections. The mix between hard and soft, power and poetry is evident both
in our fashion stories and throughout the magazine, with a portrait of true urban romantic André, a portfolio of classic fashion photographer William Klein, or a portrait of Vienna, a city of contrasts.
SKP itself reflects this play of opposites
