Debut of the new PASSOLO release at Hannover Messe 2006 PASS Engineering will be presenting PASSOLO 6.0, the latest version of their successful software localization tool, at the Hannover Messe trade fair. (Bonn, 24 April 2006) PASSOLO 6.0 provides even better support for the full range of Microsoft .NET platforms thanks to brand new technological developments. “This shows that we are really taking the needs and requests of our customers into account,” says Achim Herrmann, Co-director of PASS Engineering. “The number of .NET projects has increased enormously in recent years. The range of features also includes new workgroup functions and an across integration, in addition to the tried and proven TRADOS/SDLX interfaces. PASSOLO 6.0 also offers an HTML Editor as well as a powerful layout engine that supports automatic adjustment of dialog layouts. Herrmann is certain: "The new version of PASSLO will confirm and strengthen PASS Engineering's position as technological leader in software localization!” “The official release of PASSOLO 6.0 is scheduled for the end of May. But we really went the extra mile so we can present this new version to our customers at the Hannover Messe: As a leading international trade fair for technology and innovation, it is an excellent measure of customer acceptance,” adds Florian Sachse, with Herrmann co-director of PASS Engineering. PASS Engineering will be presenting PASSOLO 6.0 from April 24th to 28th at the Forum ITC (Forum International Technical Communication – Hannover Messe, Hall 16, Stand D10). This will be the presentation platform for leading providers of tools and services related to the development and translation of documentation, catalogs, software user interfaces, etc. PASS Engineering GmbH, located in Bonn, Germany, has been in business since 1990. Their focus was initially in the development of medical-technical software, but later shifted to the field of software localization. In the context of globalization, software localization plays a key role: localization tools like PASSOLO present the translatable data so that it can be edited in a simple but secure way. By leveraging already translated strings it is possible to accelerate the time-to-market cycle. PASSOLO’s Add-in concept allows data exchange with other tools relevant to the localization process.
