Free cash withdrawals at SPAR PostFinance is expanding its offering for free cash withdrawals. Effective immediately, customers can already use their PostFinance Card to withdraw cash free of charge at all branches of SPAR in Switzerland. PostFinance is thus enabling customers to make free withdrawals at an additional 158 locations and a total of 5,400 access points.
Many customers consider it important to be able to make free cash withdrawals. Customers of PostFinance can already use their PostFinance Card to withdraw cash free of charge at PostFinance branches, at 815 Postomats, at 2,350 post offices, at 600 Migros outlets and at 1,400 SBB and private railway counters. To date, this has also been possible at certain SPAR outlets. The financial arm of Swiss Post is now expanding this service to all 158 SPAR and EUROSPAR outlets in Switzerland.
Free cash withdrawals at 5,400 outlets in Switzerland Thanks to the expansion of the service with SPAR, PostFinance customers can now withdraw cash free of charge at around 5,400 access points. To do this, they must have a postal account and a PostFinance Card in Swiss francs. Customers insert their PostFinance Card into the card terminal at the railway counter and, depending on the card limit and the cash supply available, enter their personal identification number (PIN) and withdraw their cash. Around 2.65 million PostFinance Cards in Swiss francs are currently in circulation. Last year, they were used to make 62 million cash withdrawals at ATMs, post offices and retail outlets.
