Meet Senior Staff

Update on the start of the term.

Setting agendas for future meetings.

Welcome back to everyone! I am delighted to be working with you all again this year. Of course, as you will already know, this year will be a year of great changes. This will be mainly to do with the building. As you can see, there have been some changes already. The area that is currently fenced off is where our new PERFORMANCE ROOM is being built. The year 1 toilets have a new ramp and door so that children can access these toilets easily from inside the building. This is the same for the toilets for Key Stage 2 in the back playground.

I have already had conversations with some parents regarding communication. The school endeavours to give you plenty of notice for things, where possible. Lots of information is given out in class letters and newsletters. Please read these. Information is also on the new website. Now is a good time to inform us of any change of address or contact details. I am looking forward to even more success this year. Theresa Landreth—Headteacher

Please be on time before 5 to 9!

REMINDER ABOUT: School Uniform

All dinners should be paid for in advance. Please place the money in an envelope and post in the box in the office.

Mitchell Brook has a school uniform and it is expected that all children will wear this uniform. Below are a few points that have already arisen this term. If this applies to your child, it would be appreciated if this could be rectified before the beginning of next week.

If you have outstanding payments, your child cannot have school dinners until these are paid for.

School uniform is sold at RUMBLES in Wembley. •

Every child must have a school jumper. Plain jumpers and cardigans are not the correct school uniform. There are spare jumpers in the medical room if a child has lost theirs.

All clothing and shoes need to be named.

Footwear must be BLACK. Ugg boots/flip flops are not allowed as they are not safe footwear for the playground. SOCKS should always be worn for hygiene reasons.

Children wear a PE t-shirt for PE lessons. If you are buying a new t-shirt, please buy the correct house colour. This is being phased in this year so it is fine to wear the old red one until a new one is required.

Every parent must meet the class teacher for a 10 minute meeting. This is your chance to share information about your child with the teacher. Further

PE kit is the t-shirt, navy or black jogging bottoms and the school jumper.

information and a booking form will go out next week.

No jewellery is to be worn at school except for small studs. Religious jewellery is acceptable. We will remove incorrect jewellery but cannot be responsible for it.

Hijabs should be plain navy or black.

Long hair needs to be tied back. Hairstyles should be sensible and smart. Mohicans and shaved designs are not acceptable. Eyebrows should not be shaved.

Jeans are not allowed.

Please see Diana if you are unsure.
