M I STER COLLINS Illustration & Graphic Design
WELCOME TO THE DESIGN PORTFO LIO OF BRANDEN M. COL LINS
Hello. My name is Branden M. Collins. I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio, now residing in Atlanta, GA and have been a lover of art since my early childhood. I have been doing art since before I can remember & have been doing design professionally for about 4 years. I enjoy creating memorable designs & lasting relationships with clients. My philosophy in design, as in life:
It’s the little things.
TYPEFACE POSTER ILLUSTRATION
This was a particularly fun collaborative project with fellow designer, Alex Goose. The Typeface Poster was featured in Bones Magazine, based in the UK, in the summer of 2008. The poster was included in Bones’ “Geek Issue”, it’s objective was to showcase the designer’s obsession with typography.
Over the course of my 4 years of professional design work, I’ve done my share of promotional flyer, poster & web design. Much of this work has been marketing material for many local Atlanta independent music acts as well as art shows & other fantastic events. Here are a few of my favorites...
and many more...
THE “SPECTRUM” EP
In 2008, I had the pleasure of designing an EP for the talented singer/songwriter, Brittany Bosco. This was Brittany’s first major release and the packaging & design had to be attractive and cost effective. The project has received very positive responses since then, including a feature on the Dieline.com, an internationally accredited package design website. I continue to work very closely with Brittany as her art director & all-around design go-to-guy.
in collaboration with Alex Goose
Some of the duties I’ve undertaken as art director on various projects, specifically that of Brittany Bosco, is that of photographer and photo editor. Presenting solid concepts for photoshoots & maintaining a hands-on approach is, in my opinion, the best way to achieve the best results. This set includes photography by Adam-Tillman Young, John Michael Fulton & yours truly.
I am absolutely obsessed with hand-drawn typography & illustration. I feel it’s a great way to give a personal touch to any project. Here is a showcase of some of my personal & professional handdrawn and illustration work, starting with a poster design for Coca-Cola. My goal for this poster ad was to evoke the vibrance & joy represented by the Coke brand. And with that... Enjoy!
