U.S. Opinion: My Take On Recent Political Moves

by Nicholas Halmon

As I've recently probed around the different media outlets looking for a fix of news hits from both major political parties, I can't help but to see more and more of the clear divisiveness between the two. It's gone as far as people of whom I know don't know or study politics expressing lurid feelings towards select political figures. Recently I saw in the news where a California middle school hosted an LGBT event with a drag queen but didn't bother to inform or seek consent from the parents ahead of time. An excerpt from an article on lifesitenews.com went as follows, "You did what?!" Parents across Santa Ana couldn't believe it. In one house after another, the answer to "How was school today?" was nothing like they expected.

Moms and dads listened in disbelief as their middle schoolers talked about going to an "LGBT Fair" that no one bothered to ask their permission for. There were even people in drag, their 11year-olds said, giving makeup lessons — right there in school." Any Christian parent would be perplexed to know that such activity took place without them knowing. It shows the great lengths that many liberal agendas will reach for. Across the country in other news, the Ohio Senate is probably making the most advancements compared to any other state when it comes to shutting down abortion. They are currently engaging in a plethora of bills and appeals that will essentially cut out all abortions in the

state. The recently passed "Heartbeat Bill" now heads to the house where it's expected to pass before reaching their new governor, Mike DeWine of whom has already pledged to sign the bill into law. Their federal appeals court has also recently upheld a ruling that would block public money from Planned Parenthood. The bills sponsor, Sen Kristina Roegner stated, “How a human is conceived doesn’t make it any more or less human," in response to democrats trying to make a case for rape and incest exceptions for abortions. While these advancements are still being made it’s very important for us to continue to live consecrated lives as we remain fixed on the agenda of Jesus Christ.
