You can top your tank at the C&C Store before catching Route D south to Portland. The Riverfront Bar and Grill in Portland is the first of many dining possibilities as you turn west on Highway 94 a.k.a. the South Callaway Burger Trail, which also includes the Mokane Bar & Grill and P4 Pub & Grub in Tebbetts. If you’re still hungry, stop by Nick’s Family Restaurant, located in the Jefferson City Memorial Airport, for some of the best pan-fried chicken and country ham you’ve ever eaten. At Highway 54, head north to Holts Summit where you can take a break at Canterbury Hill Winery & Restaurant. From Holts Summit, head north on AC, through the town of Lake Mykee, and on to New Bloomfield where you’ll catch MM west to Route J. Drive carefully; the police in this small town don’t think highly of speeders. Go north on J to the village of Guthrie, and look for the Heart of Nashville restaurant, where your meal is often accompanied by live music. Keep north on J, past Serenity Valley Winery
