Marissa Laven Indelible Moment
One indelible moment I had was when I saw a hump back whale in Alaska. My grandma had wanted to go on vacation in the summer of 2002. So my sister and I gave her some ideas; “Why don’t we go to Disney land again.” “No, no last time we went we were robed.” “Oh, I never knew that.” “What about Hawaii, mom would love to go.” “I would love to go to Alaska, it is so beautiful, and we can go in august when it’s warm.” Grandma was the one to pay for our trip, so she decided to take a cruise around Alaska. I was on the boat deck that I saw the hump back whale. “Look over there, there is a whale” exclaimed Aunt Ann. “Cool, can I name him, I’m going to name him Jacky.” I yelled “hello Jacky!” Right at that moment the whale shot up water through its hole, like it understood me and was saying hello back. That was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.
