Utilizing the Tekla Open API, Tekla India has developed extensions to work in conjunction with Tekla Structures. These tools add additional functionalities to Tekla Structures.

A BUILT-UP SECTION CONVERTER This tool Facilitates smooth and easy interface between Tekla and STAAD.Pro for models containing Built-up sections. This converts user-defined profiles into equivalent plated sections or a combination of plates + rolled sections and vice versa. Thus, it facilitates complete data transfer between both the software, allowing smooth integration from designer to detailer.

A GRATING MODELLING TOOL Tekla Creates grating panels of standard or user defined sizes within a picked polygon boundary.

A FIRM FOLDER SETUP TOOL By using this tool, you can create a firm folder (project specific settings) at desired location along with a desktop shortcut. You can specify Tekla Structures version, environment, role & license type.

A POLAR BOLT ARRAY TOOL This tool creates bolts in radial direction, with options to define number of copies at angular intervals.

A PROJECT GRID MARK TOOL This tool allows user to add predefined “structure number” to the grid labels. This is developed exclusively to facilitate process & plant industry customers.

A NEW WAY TO CREATE MODEL TEMPLATE This functionality facilitates easier and faster way to set up your own model templates. You can select files like catalogs, model sub folders, drawing and report templates from the model folder that need to be included in the model template.

A DIRECT MANIPULATION OF OBJECTS This tool allows easier manipulation of part geometry . This handles modifications of parts with more than two handles like polybeams, slabs, rebar, and rebar groups.

A DRAWING PREVIEW a quick look at any drawing without actually opening the drawing.

A DRAGGING DIMENSION MARKS You can now freely drag Dimension text to avoid overlapping of dimensions and marks.





A MODEL TEMPLATES Segment specific model templates, which act as a guide for new projects. Model Template has: • • •

Model checking : Get access to readily available model checking reports addressing a variety of issues faced during different project stages . These reports instantly show up issues related to project standards and other specifications well in advance, thus reducing drawing revisions. STAAD.Pro Interface : Reports, which will help in easy import of STAAD.Pro model to Tekla Structures.

A HALF CUT ’ I’ PROFILES IN CATALOGUE Half cut ’ I’ section profiles are now available under separate branch in Profile catalogue. These profiles take care of weight and area related issues in BOM and reports.

A HELP / SUPPORT VIDEOS Tekla India support team will regularly post new videos on specific features to reduce learning time & get acquainted with new tools/features instantly & implement in your ongoing projects.



The dedicated support centre on Tekla Extranet will be the place for Indian users to find quick tips, localization items, share ideas related to technical issues.
