Cereals yield potential, calculated on the basis of agricultural soil suitability complexes, is realized in Poland at the level of approximately 62%. Realization of this potential to an extent clearly higher than the average for the country occurs in the voivodeships of Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Opolskie, Śląskie, and Wielkopolskie. It should be emphasized that the degree of realization of yield potential is relatively independent of the size of yield potential. The size of actual cereal yields depends on a number of factors both natural and agricultural, as indicated by the cluster analysis (Table 2.11).
