Helping you feel safe in your lane. The 2017 Toyota Corolla’s standard Toyota Safety Sense™ P (TSS-P)1 is designed to help keep passengers safe with a suite of systems including Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.2 This feature is designed to detect visible lane markers on the road, alert the driver if an inadvertent lane departure is detected and may also provide slight, corrective steering inputs to help keep the vehicle in its lane. With TSS-P’s Lane Departure Alert, you’ll feel greater peace of mind on the road.
Prototype shown with options. Production model may vary. 1. Drivers are responsible for their own safe driving. Always pay attention to your surroundings and drive safely. Depending on the conditions of roads, weather and the vehicle, the system(s) may not work as intended. See Owner’s Manual for additional limitations and details. 2. Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist is designed to read lane markers under certain conditions. It provides a visual and audible alert, and slight steering force when lane departure is detected. It is not a collision-avoidance system or a substitute for safe and attentive driving. Effectiveness is dependent on road, weather and vehicle conditions. See Owner’s Manual for additional limitations and details. ©2017 Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.

retinoids BUT IF YOU STILL HAVE ACNE, YOU SHOULD. cne as an adult? It shouldn’t happen, right? Well, it does. Over 50 million Americans suffer from it annually. So...you’re not alone. But before you head into that board meeting sporting your three-piece suit and your latest breakout, there’s one acne-fighting ingredient that you should try (that you most likely haven’t yet): RETINOIDS. YOU’RE PROBABLY ASKING YOURSELF, “WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE RETINOIDS?” Well, retinoids work like vitamin A, which is an important building block for healthy skin, so they’ve become the basis for many acne medications.
Differin® Gel (the FIRST and ONLY retinoid acne product to be available over the counter!), target two of the primary causes of acne. They regulate skin cell turnover AND reduce inflammation deep in the skin to prevent pimples, blackheads and clogged pores before they occur. So they’re working at the source! SO HOW DO I USE THEM?
WAIT A SEC, ARE RETINOIDS THE SAME THING AS RETINOL? The names sound familiar, so they’re easy to mix up. But here’s the scoop: retinol is a type of retinoid, but isn’t really used to treat acne, unlike the much more powerful retinoids.
Unlike spot treatments, retinoids should be applied to your entire face on a daily basis. Use a moisturizer to minimize dryness, and if you’re in the sun, apply sunscreen. Think of it as your new routine, because even after your skin looks clearer, it’s important to continue use to keep those breakouts away. OK, BE HONEST. WHAT CAN I EXPECT??
WHAT WILL THEY DO FOR MY ACNE? AND HOW ARE THEY DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER ACNE STUFF I’VE TRIED?? First off, almost every other product on the shelf has been made with the same stuff: benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. So not only are retinoids a different ingredient, they work completely differently. Retinoids, like that in new
Retinoids take a few weeks to start to work, and during this time, you might experience some dryness and irritation while your skin gets used to them. So, it could feel like it’s getting a little worse before it gets better. But, like your old track coach used to say, “You just gotta push through it!” And for those who don’t get any of these pesky side effects, it doesn’t mean that the retinoids aren’t doing their job.
“THIS IS A MASSIVE GAME-CHANGER IF YOU HAVE ACNE.”
Finally, there’s a new acne-fighting ingredient on the shelf. One that you could only get from a doctor...until now. New Differin® Gel has a multi-benefit RETINOID called adapalene that clears your acne where it starts and prevents future breakouts to restore your skin’s tone and texture.

HotHol w od Affleck (with Garner in L.A. Nov. 19) “is feeling great and hopeful for the future,” says a source.
PUTTING THE CHILDREN FIRST
en Affleck is using his struggles as a learning tool. The dad of Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5 (with estranged wife Jennifer Garner), revealed in a March 14 Facebook statement that he recently completed treatment for alcohol addiction. “I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it,” wrote the 44-year-old Oscar winner, who also went to rehab in 2001. “I’m lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my coparent, Jen.”
The next day, he jumped back into his dad duties, dropping the children off at their L.A. school and taking them to church March 19. Says an Affleck pal, “The kids are happy to have him back and doing well.” MODERN FAMILY For the children’s benefit, Affleck and Garner — who separated in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage — both live on the same 3-acre Pacific Palisades property. (Affleck resides in the guesthouse; Garner is in the main home.) “Jen wants them to have a healthy father,”
says a source close to the actress, 44. “She will do whatever it takes to provide the best arrangement.” Though divorce is still on the table — neither has filed — the duo are maintaining their status quo. While Affleck works on his sobriety, “Jen continues to be there, and she always will be there for him,” adds the Garner insider. “He is very appreciative of Jen being so supportive and for giving him a chance to get better. They are not a couple by any means, but they . . . will continue to be the best parents they can be.” By Jamie Blynn, Talia Ergas & Tess Kornfeld / With reporting by Gabrielle Bernardini, Brody Brown, Amy Cosman & Travis Cronin

Beefing Up Security In the wake of Kim Kardashian’s Paris hotel robbery in October and $200,000 worth of jewelry vanishing from 21-year-old Kendall Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home March 16, the E! stars are taking extreme security precautions. “It’s an eye-opener how many people have tried to access our homes,” Kris Jenner, 61, tells Us. n March 17, first lady Melania Trump, clad in a belted custom Alice Roi coatdress, Gianvito Rossi stilettos and Gucci sunglasses, strode across the White House lawn with her husband, Donald. With the press corps photographers snapping away, the 46-year-old Slovenia-born stunner smiled for the cameras as the billionaire awkwardly reached for her hand and clutched the tips of her fingers. Once the obligatory photo op was complete, she, Donald and their 11-year-old son, Barron, boarded Marine One, POTUS’ helicopter, which whisked them away to their Palm Beach, Florida, estate, Mar-a-Lago. Aboard the chopper — and away from the public eye — Melania dropped the act. And Donald’s hand. “Melania,” alleges a family source, “does not keep hidden from everyone around her how miserable she is.” That includes the president himself. Multiple sources claim that the former fashion model — who’s currently living 200 miles away from Washington, D.C., in NYC’s Trump Tower while Barron finishes the school year — refuses to share a bed with Donald even on the rare occasions when they sleep in the same city. “They have separate bedrooms,” says another Trump insider. “They never spend the night together — ever.” (A third
source says the couple do sleep in the same room but keep separate beds: “It’s very ‘royal’ of them!”) Upset with the 70-yearold former reality star for trapping her in a life she despises, “Melania wants as little to do with Donald as possible,” explains the family source. “She is not interested in Donald, the presidency or anything involving him.”

A Scary Incident for Don III No selfie control? Two Secret Service agents assigned to protect Donald Trump III, POTUS’ 8-year-old grandson, are under investigation for snapping photos with him while he was sleeping in a car. assuming the role of first lady January 20, Melania has kept an extremely limited official schedule. After the inauguration, she mostly stayed in her gilded Fifth Avenue triplex penthouse and didn’t set foot in the nation’s capital again for 21 days. And the few official appearances she has made were done so begrudgingly. Melania escorted Akie Abe, the Japanese prime minister’s wife, around Palm Beach in February, but “only because she was going to be at Mar-a-Lago already,” according to the family source. “She refused to do it in Washington.” Her March 2 trip to read Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Places You’ll Go! to kids in the pediatrics ward of the New York–Presbyterian Hospital was also a chore. “The White House put a lot of pressure

I don’t buy it.” What’s more, many of the perks of being Mrs. Trump have vanished. Designers including Phillip Lim and Marc Jacobs, turned off by Donald’s populist policies, have refused to dress Melania. “It isn’t about people dressing her,” claims the family source. “She has enough money to dress herself. She is upset she has been shunned.” She’s also getting the cold shoulder from Hollywood. (Remember Meryl Streep’s scathing speech at the Golden Globes?) Though she once rubbed elbows with A-listers at events such as the Vanity Fair Oscar party, “that entire world that she used to enjoy,” asserts the family source, “is closed to her.” To cope, Melania — who wed Donald in 2005 in front of guests including Katie Couric, Kelly Ripa and

she won’t have to be alone with Donald or do public things where she doesn’t have to be alone with him.”
WHAT’S NEXT? With intense pressure from her husband’s advisers to present a united front, Melania finally has begun to mull a move to the nation’s capital. Though multiple sources have told Us she had hoped to remain in New York City with Barron throughout her husband’s term, the White House continues to insist she will relocate to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue this June. One well-connected insider reveals Melania has even toured schools in Washington, D.C., and in suburban Maryland to find a suitable place for Barron to study. If she does indeed make the 20,000-square-foot White House living quarters her home base, Melania (who once joked that “the key” to her happy marriage with Donald is separate bathrooms) should be pleased to know that the executive residence has plenty of bedrooms too: five, to be exact. e raised the roof, bobbed from side to side and attempted the two-handed point. As Luniz’s 1995 rap classic “I Got 5 on It” played in Farinet South — an underground club in Verbier, Switzerland — in the early hours of March 13, Prince William showed off his fiercest dance moves. Visiting the Swiss town for a ski trip with three pals, the royal “had been drinking since the afternoon,” explains a friend. By 3 a.m., “he was more than tipsy.” At one point, the father of Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, 22 months, even placed his hand on the waist of a mystery woman, thought to be 24-year-old Australian model Sophie Taylor. “Things got a little messy,” admits the friend, “but occasionally Dad has to let his hair down! It was all clean, harmless fun.” Within 24 hours, it was headline news. By March 14, TMZ had released video of William’s dad dance moves and U.K. paper The Sun slammed the former air-ambulance pilot, 34, for snubbing the annual March 13 Commonwealth Day events to live it up with his buddies and Taylor. Two days later, Vanity Fair piled on, claiming Duchess Kate
wasn’t pleased with her husband’s antics. But a source tells Us the 35-year-old wasn’t bothered by her prince’s less-than-charming behavior. “Kate knew William would be away on a boys’ trip — it was planned long ago,” notes the source. “Is it a surprise that they all drank a lot? Hardly. There was no fallout.”
STIFF UPPER LIP Indeed, by March 17, Kate was “all smiles” as she and William handed out sprigs of shamrock at the Irish Guards St. Patrick’s Day parade, says an onlooker. Afterward, the pair hopped a private jet to Paris (Kate’s hairdresser Amanda Tucker blew out her tresses midflight) to begin a two-day tour of the French capital. Following a meeting with President François Hollande at the Elysée Palace, the couple enjoyed a black-tie dinner hosted by Britain’s ambassador to France and visits to the Eiffel Tower and Musée d’Orsay. Not on the agenda: any discussions of William’s misstep. “Kate trusts William,” says the insider. “I think what bothered her the most was suggestions there are now problems in their marriage. That couldn’t be further from the truth.”
The Paris trip marked the first time William (with a Chanel-clad Kate March 18) had visited the city since his mom died there in 1997.

Logging miles like Ellie Goulding does “is hard on the joints,” notes Revenge Body With Khloé Kardashian trainer Lacey Stone. She advises pumping iron o strengthen the supporting muscles.
YOGA, WEIGHT TRAINING
one suggests a trio of companions r Nina Agdal’s cardio. Yoga elongates muscles that tense midround, and lifting weights boosts power. Running, says the L.A. pro, “increases stamina.”
While Molly Sims’ sculpting sessions benefit glutes, “you miss out on cardio,” says physical therapist Dr. Karen Joubert. Break a sweat with a boot camp or by hopping on an elliptical machine.
The high-intensity interval training in Carrie Underwood’s workout can shorten muscles, says Joubert, who has worked with Jennifer Aniston. A Pilates reformer class will lengthen them out.
Lea Michele’s favorites go hand in hand. As Stone explains, “Pilates strengthens stabilizing muscles,” which can improve your cycling form. The cardio boosts endurance on the reformer.

Playing Politics Designated Survivor star Kiefer Sutherland takes his role as the leader of the free world very seriously
s President Tom Kirkman on ABC’s Designated Survivor (Wednesdays, 10 P.M.), Kiefer Sutherland has been forced to lead the nation after a bombing takes out Washington, D.C.’s elite. Now, in light of the real-life 2016 election, the actor and musician, 50, hopes his drama can do more than entertain. “We’re trying to have common-sense discussions that reduce the vitriol,” he tells Us. “This is the most divisive political landscape we’ve ever seen in this country. If the show starts to break that up a little bit, I would be incredibly proud of having been a part of it.” 56
Q: Kirkman’s enemy, the vice president (Ashley Zukerman), is about to be neutralized. What’s the fallout? What is the great adage in Washington? It’s usually not the crime but the cover-up that will get you. This is not a president who likes to mislead the public. He makes a choice to lie to the American people because he believes he’s protecting something bigger. Q: Tom has also been forced to keep secrets from the first lady (Natascha McElhone) as the conspiracy deepens. Will that rebound on him? She’s much more politically savvy than he is. He leans on that in a very heavy
way, so when that starts to be taken away, he’s opening himself up to making some potentially serious mistakes. Q: Gotta ask: You tweet a lot of pics of a stuffed bunny posed in various scenarios. What gives? One night after a show in Pittsburgh, a girl had this rabbit and said, “I wanted to give this to you so you didn’t feel alone.” My band ended up in a bar and I was still carrying the rabbit, so we decided it was going to do everything I wanted to do as a musician but can’t. It just started drinking and smoking, and then we took pictures because it was funny, and Rockin’ Rabbit was born!

Harlots Who knew 20 percent of women in 1763 London made their living as prostitutes? Salacious and vivid down to the palpably dank alleys, this drama of two rival madams and their girls is full of revelations. Samantha Morton, steely perfection as Margaret, seeks to gain riches from her scrappy brothel — even if that means selling off her daughters (Downton Abbey’s

CHiPs’ hog-riding highway patrol officer, 42, brings Us up to speed
2. As a Midwesterner, I wanted to remake the ’80s show CHiPs because it was like taking a one-hour trip to Los Angeles every week. 3. My other favorite ’80s TV show was The Dukes of Hazzard. 4. What I admire most in my wife [Kristen Bell] is her impenetrable kindness. 5. I still have most of my punk-rock T-shirts from seventh grade to remind myself that being different has its rewards. 6. Are You the One? on MTV is my guilt Eleven ho
13. Right now, I am obsessively watching The Americans and Game of Thrones! 14. I have a hidden talent for drumming. Unless you live within 100 feet of our house. Then it’s not so hidden. 15. In moments of weakness, I inhale a half-dozen hardshell tacos from Taco Bell.
I wish I could sing. It’s a superpower. Adele is, like, all of the Avengers rolled into on 17. If I wasn’t an actor, I’d be road-course car-racing. 18. Settlers of Catan is my favorite board game. 19. It’s also the game I am best at playing. 0. I say “It is what it is” ay too much. The best advice I’ve ever ived came from my mom, aid: “In life, we are r in a position to need p or to give help. Which would you prefer?”

One of my favorite movies is 1977’s Smokey and the Bandit.
22. In simpler times, I journaled upon waking up. 23. My motto is “This is not about you.” It keeps me from reacting to people who rub me the wrong way. 24. First thing [Bell and I] do in the morning is negotiate which one of us is going to tend to our crying 2-year-old daughter [Delta; the pair also have daughter Lincoln, 3]. 25. I laughed so hard I cried when my wife made me a movie for Christmas about our youngest daughter, narrated by Dateline NBC correspondent Keith Morrison.
