MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL It is my pleasure to welcome you to the historic Maryland Theatre for the 2017 Barbara Ingram School for the Arts production of “Seussical the Musical.” “We would like to create some memories!” I am extremely proud of our students and staff for the amazing work they do everyday. A production of this size takes the time, hard work and support of so many people working together under the vision of Ruth Ridenour to bring the fantasy to reality. “Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.” It is our hope to share this different perspective through these magic moments with you tonight. “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory.” Barbara Ingram is an exceptional school of many very unique people. It exists within an outstanding community of learners made up of our families, the BISFA foundation, and our many supporters who believe in the mission and vision of BISFA. It is a world defined by rigor, stress, perseverance, limited time, passion, compassion, possibilities, and stairs. We rally behind a shared mission and vision to train students for college and career, while preparing them to be leaders and visionaries. The students here dream big, seek their own path and believe in possibility through persistence. “Why fit in when you were born to stand out” A rather unique family of misfits that somehow fits together like a true masterpiece. Thank you to the stupendous students for their talent, time, humanity, and many hours of devotion to this project. I am continually amazed at what you accomplish and achieve each day.

“And oh, the places you’ll go! You’re on your own, you know what you know, don’t worry about how fast or how slow! Be certain you step with caution and tact, ‘cause life is one great big balancing act! And will you succeed? You will, yes indeed!” Rob Hovermale, Ed.D Principal Barbara Ingram School for the Arts

To: Carinna (Our Favorite Sloth) Just look how far you’ve come… You’ve always been so much fun… As much as we don’t want to let you go… There’s something you should know… We love you more each day… And frankly, you need to stay… To finish this one last show… And enjoy yourself as you know… Four years doesn’t seem like much time… But we have definitely seen you shine… And after your last curtain call… We have saved the best for all… We want to let you know… We will still watch you grow… We can only imagine the places you will go… And the people you will meet and get to know… But remember we will always admire you so… And we love you more than you will ever know… Love, Mom and Dad P.S. “Break A Leg” and Congratulations! “2017”
