MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL... It is my pleasure to welcome you to the historic Maryland Theatre for the 2019 Barbara Ingram School for the Arts production of Mamma Mia. I am so proud of the BISFA students and staff for the hard work, time, commitment, passion and perseverance they demonstrate every day. Our all-school musical takes the efforts of so many people in so many ways. It is this culmination of humanity that defines the school. It is a culture of excellence defined by rigor, stress, and possibilities. We rally behind a shared mission and vision to train students for college and career, while preparing them to be leaders and visionaries. As we near the end of this first decade of BISFA, we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for. Along the way we have tackled many obstacles as a family and have come to realize how much we truly need and value each other. We are learning to see the world in new ways. The construction here at the theatre and the building next door, while difficult at times, is a small reminder of the great things to come. By October the Maryland Theatre renovations will be complete and by the fall of 2020, students will be utilizing the new building between BISFA and the theatre. The students here dream big, seek their own path, and believe in possibility through persistence. They face barriers, they make sacrifices, and they dare to take risks. They dare to be different and they dare to be themselves. They learn to fail, so they can dream in search of excellence. It is only with the help and support of the Foundation, the WCPS central office, Board of Education, parents, staff, community and students that we continue to grow and thrive. Thank you for sharing this moment in time with us! Our 10-year celebration will continue and we hope to have the culmination in May. The festivities begin with a reception to showcase the teacher and alumni art show at the Arts Council on Friday, May 24th at 5:00. Also on May 24th we welcome everyone to University Plaza for a Wind Up Event to kick off the weekend. On May 25th, there will be two gala performances (2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.) featuring the first 10 years of BISFA. There will also be visual art displays featuring student, alumni and staff artwork over the weekend. On May 26th, we will conclude the weekend with a picnic style brunch in the USMH courtyard. More specific information is included in the BISFA Bill. Thank you for believing in the vision and mission of the school to help create the cultural leaders of tomorrow. Please sit back and marvel as the students of Barbara Ingram School for the Arts bring Mamma Mia to the stage. Dream big, believe and always have hope. Rob Hovermale

The PressRoom at The Herald-Mail was a fantastic site for our Best Burger Hagerstown event. Everyone was very impressed with the venue. Kim Tagg was a true pleasure to work with. She went out of her way to answer the numerous questions we had and was very supportive the day of the event.
