Milton is a unique and novel shopping mecca with shops on our old-fashioned Main Street. Escarpment CountryTM offers an extensive selection of stores, artisan studios and galleries both in town and sprinkled throughout the countryside. In the heart of Downtown Milton, you can enjoy an atmosphere where the pride of ownership has preserved the old fashioned flavour of our downtown core. Stroll along historic Main Street, where Victorian architecture is showcased with beautifully restored buildings and where colourful hanging baskets add vibrant colour to the streets. Every Saturday morning, from mid May to Thanksgiving weekend, you can take your weekly shopping list to the Milton Farmers’ Market, operated by the Milton Chamber of Commerce. With the historic Main Street core reserved for pedestrians only, you are free to stroll and visit the many farmers, craft vendors, florists, artisans and musicians for a complete sensory experience of sight, sound, scent and colour.
