U.S. Servicemen and Women Remembered at Memorial Mass Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio led 2500 faithful in prayer for U.S. servicemen and women, living and deceased, at the annual Memorial Mass on Pentecost Sunday, 15 May, in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. This year, for the first time, the Memorial Mass was celebrated at noon, much earlier than the 4:30 p.m. start time in years past, in order to make it more convenient for the public to attend. On Memorial Day, 30 May, both EWTN and CatholicTV will broadcast the Mass at 12 noon (ET). CatholicTV will repeat the broadcast at 8:00 p.m. (ET). EWTN will repeat it at midnight.
