PROJECT 1: AD In this non-stereotyping assignment I drew from a popular stereotype I personally experienced while serving in the U.S. Navy. The focus on homosexuality in the service, especially the Navy, is rampant. That’s especially true during the time I was transitioning back to being a civilian. In fact, the military’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell (DADT) policy was abandonded on the same day I separated from active duty. This add shows a sailor with his wife, who I both personally knew. They are more of a “model” couple, so I chose them over some friends. It took multiple revisions and constructive feedback from my peers to really capture the proper lettering, coloring and message. It’s a controversial topic so I tried to remain respectful while making my point.

PROJECT 2: COLOR PROFILE 6
This color profile and poster were completed by using Adobe Photoshop CS6. The color wheel and breakdown were obtained from www. The photo used is a personal picture of mine of while I was snorkeling in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
PROJECT 3: POSTER
This poster project was created in Adobe InDesign. It features no actual shape tools, despite that appearance. Different forms of type are utilized to create a more-than-ordinary appearance. Times and dates were obtained from NFL.com.
PROJECT 4: MAGAZINE SPREAD
This magazine spread was created solely through Adobe InDesign. It showcases my multiple talents: interviewing, storywriting and design.

PROJECT 5: BRAND DESIGN 14
I designed a new logo concept for LOEWS Don Cesar Hotel in St. Petersburg Beach, Fla. The distinct color and shape of the hotel are landmarks in the area and made the most sense for a logomark. Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator were used to complete the task.
PROJECT 6: CHARTS Charts used in this example were created through Adobe Illustrator. The financial information is all courtesy of Bloomberg.com. The design, charts and timeline were all implemented into Adobe InDesign to present a clean and professional delivery method for the data.
