Letter From the Executive Director, Dominic Egizio I hope that everyone is staying safe during these crazy times. In October, Midlothian Park District opened the Athletic and Recreation Center (ARC) to the public. The ARC features meeting/party rooms, new pre-school rooms, a fitness center, walking path and turf field. The gymnasium has been fully renovated and construction has begun on the Splash Pad, which will be completed in the Spring of 2021. The ARC staff is doing everything possible to keep the facility and equipment clean and sanitized. They do hourly cleanings and check all the equipment. We encourage everyone to practice social distancing, and masks are required when in the building. The staff has been hard at work planning new and exciting programs for people of all ages. As you scroll through the brochure, I am confident you will find a program or event of interest. We always welcome new ideas, so if there is something you would like to see offered, please do not hesitate to contact us with a suggestion! Finally, as a reminder, you are always welcome to attend our board meetings which take place on the third Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. These meetings are held at the Athletic and Recreation Center at 14500 S. Kostner. The board always welcomes feedback from the residents so we can fulfill our mission of enhancing our programs, parks and facilities for the residents of Midlothian.
