Community Collaboration Continuing to Build Safety
Dear Middletown City School District Parents & Community Members, The 2016-2017 academic year is underway for Middletown City Schools. Everywhere you look in the district this year, you will see positive changes taking place: construction of the renovated Middletown High School and new Middle School, implementation of our new district mission, vision and focus on strategic plan goal areas, strengthening and expanding our use of technology in the classroom, improving our district-wide communication, and deepening our presence and commitment to the students, parents and community members we serve. The Middletown City School District’s Board of Education recently approved five focus goal areas as a result of the strategic planning process. These goals are: Student Achievement, Instructional Excellence, Student and Family Wellness, Communication & Community Engagement and Valuing Diversity. These goals were selected by a diverse group of educators, community members and parents. The purpose of these newly created goals is to guide the Middletown City School District and be more successful. I believe this year will be very productive and look forward to the many successes our students within the district achieve. Let’s have a great year together!
