Central Park Key Developments
Central Park, a 450 acre development, is the UK’s first urban mixed-use business park.
Manchester – The Black Book
Located just 1.5 miles east of Manchester city centre, Central Park has the capacity to offer more than 5 million sq ft of commercial office space. The park’s distinctive landmark is the £36.5 million transport gateway interchange that will provide a dedicated Metrolink stop when the extended link is in place in 2011. The park also enjoys direct motorway access.
MASTERPLAN The first phase of the development has an outline planning consent for 1.4 million sq ft of high quality offices. The park’s success is evident in the 275,000 sq ft of completed and occupied development and the quality of the world class businesses already located on the park including Fujitsu Services and One Central Park – a world class research, development and training centre designed to stimulate job creation and encourage investment in the region. Madison Place, a speculative phase of development is also completed. The five new office buildings range in size from 5,244 sq ft up to 13,777 sq ft with Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust now in occupation of one of the units.
Currently under construction is the most modern police headquarters in the UK. The 240,000 sq ft building which Greater Manchester Police Force Command will occupy from spring 2011 will be joined by a Divisional Headquarters in a 125,000 sq ft building scheduled for completion in autumn 2011.
