Marketing collaboration objective: to combine Elbit System’s MUSIC™ family of airborne laser Directed Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) systems with Citadel’s extensive aircraft modification and installation capabilities Marketing collaboration follows successful and satisfactory integration of the Airbus ACJ 340 with Elbit Systems’ C-MUSIC Combined capabilities to provide end-to end self-protection solutions that meet private customer’s needs Leverages Citadel Completions’ modification and MRO expertise and Elbit System’s proven operational experience in airborne laser self-protection

Citadel Completions and Elbit Systems are announcing a collaboration of marketing efforts in the Americas, intended to offer the MUSIC family of DIRCM self-protection systems to commercial sized narrow and widebody aircraft in the private sector. This marketing collaboration follows the successful integration of Elbit Systems’ C-MUSIC onboard the ACJ 340 Aircraft and the ongoing certification process to obtain a FAA STC of the C-MUSIC installation on a privately owned VVIP B767. Citadel Completions, a premier provider of large aircraft VIP/VVIP interior completions, delivers luxurious, high quality, comfortable space for long-haul travel in an accelerated timeframe. The company was created with a resolute vision to transform the aircraft completions industry, dramatically reducing project span time through innovative approaches to design, engineering and production. Citadel’s center is equipped for complex aircraft modifications, as well as heavy maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of narrow and widebody platforms, with hangar and ramp space to accommodate multiple aircraft

programs. The Citadel team has extensive experience with multiple original equipment manufacturer (OEM) platforms. Elbit Systems developed the MUSIC family of DIRCM systems more than a decade ago following a requirement and contract by the Israeli Government to protect the fleets of Israel’s three commercial aircraft airliners (Elal, Arkia and Israir) from the threats of shoulder launched heat-seeking ground to air missile (MANPADS). Since then, Elbit Systems DIRCM systems have been contracted by many additional dozens of customers worldwide, have accumulated more than 350,000 operational flight hours and participated in live-fire testes, attesting to their reliability. Elbit Systems DIRCM systems are integrated onboard more than a dozen VIP customers globally and have been granted supplemental type certificates (STC) onboard a wide range of platforms by major civil aviation authorities worldwide. The MUSIC family is available in three configurations: C-MUSIC for the protection of civil and VIP large jets; J-MUSIC for large aircraft (heavy transporters, tankers and VIP jets); Mini-MUSIC for small and medium rotary and fixed wing aircraft. “We are proud of this tremendous opportunity to work closely with the incredible team at Elbit Systems to offer VIP aircraft owners in the Americas with self-protection capabilities,” said Joe Bonita, Managing Director, Citadel Completions. “Combining the strengths and leadership of Citadel and Elbit Systems brings unmatched capability and an unparalleled level of security to our private aircraft owners.” Oren Sabag, Co-General Manager of Elbit Systems ISTAR & EW, said: “Recent years have seen a rise in the threats aircraft face from shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles. With the mature and tested airborne laser technology, owners of VIP aircraft now have the opportunity to improve protection while flying across the globe. We believe that the collaboration with Citadel Completions will facilitate an effective introduction of such an advanced capability to the VIP aircraft market.” The first co-marketing event between Citadel and Elbit Systems is at the 2021 National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) convention and exhibit in Las Vegas, Nevada. Citadel is hosting Elbit Systems inside their booth, and representatives from both companies will be on-site along with a real size mockup of the C-MUSIC and Mini-MUSIC. Please stop by booth #2571 to view the mockups and gain more information.
