Where: Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Meridian Ballroom inside Morris University Center, Edwardsville, Illinois When: Monday, March 28, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Who: Michael Dell, the president of Dell Inc will make a special guest appearance at 7:00 p.m. discussing the future of Dell and describing the company’s latest projects. BACKGROUND INFORMATION Dell Inc, one of the most recognized names in computers, is ranked number two in global PC unit shipments. Dell’s innovative technology provides the company better ways to deliver products and services in environmentally friendly ways. They were named the Greenest Company in America in 2010. Reason for Event: I believe that this event will allow students to better understand Dell Inc. and the issues that are important to the company. Students will be able to interact with the new products which will hopefully get them interested in them. By having the opportunity to listen to Michael Dell and ask questions, the students may feel more of a connection with the company which could increase chances of students building a relationship with the brand. The drawing will help bring in more people to the event.
