This morning our focus is on what Jesus meant when He said that the “pure of heart will see God.” In this discussion we will look inwardly to that central place where decisions, attitudes, and values are formed (the heart), and it’s connection with the choices we make. -Pastor Dave GATHERING TO WORSHIP Prelude

HYMN TO JOY

Call to Worship Ever-present God, forever seeking us and always teaching us. Open our minds to the truth of your care. Open our hearts to the gentle power of your love. Open our lips to share stories of faith. Open our hands to create beauty, to do justice and to show kindness. Open our souls to the breath of your Spirit. Open our mouths to sing boldly and loudly your praises. Open us to what you desire in your Kingdom. Passing the Peace May the Peace of Christ be with you. And also with you. We invite you to share your name and greetings with your neighbors and those you may not know as a sign of our community in Christian fellowship.

Registration of Attendance and Announcements All sit. Please note your attendance and any prayer requests on the perforated section in the bulletin, tear it off and place in the offering plate later in the service. PREPARATION FOR WORSHIP Prayer of the People Loving God, you know me. You know the inner thoughts of which I am ashamed and the visible deeds I regret. You know my struggle to live faithfully: being generous to those in need; being forgiving to those who have hurt me; being patient when there is so much to do; taking time for prayer in the midst of busyness; being loving, when judging and criticizing are my first thoughts. Loving God, you know me, love me, forgive me, trust me, and I stand in awe at your amazing grace. Keep me on the path of Christ and lead me to deep joy and abundant gratitude. In His name.
